Spring Season Scheduling 2024
As you may or may not know, the School Road Ball field in Hatfield is always the last field to open. Last year I was told we would not be able to use the field until May. Luckily, we opened on April 17th. The late start on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays puts us behind the scheduling 8-ball year ...

As a result or our league manager meeting on Sunday, changes to how we will play the game in 2024 have taken place. These changes were suggested by the managers that cared enough to attend the meeting. If you or a team rep weren't in attendance to make a suggestion, voice an opinion or cast a vote, ...

Re: Leagues Forming 2024
At this point in time, a number of teams have yet to send in their confirmations to return for the spring 2024 season. Whether it's laziness, forgetfulness, or simply a matter of my confirmation request getting caught in the manager's spam folder, a confirmation is needed before your team spot in th...

Leagues Forming 2024
Leagues for Spring 2024 are being formed. I am in the process of reaching out to last year’s managers to get an idea of the number of available team spots in each league. If you are interested in entering a team in one of our 8 leagues (5 men’s and 3 coed), it couldn't hurt to fill out a full or par...

Re: Men's and Coed League All-Star Restricted Lists / 2024
Norristown has a slew of highly talented ball players that have never played in SBA. Without some sort of governor in place, there would be nothing to stop a team from inserting one or two of these studs into their already all-star studded line-up without penalty. Undoubtedly, that team would become...

Re: Men's and Coed League All-Star Restricted Lists / 2024
Not necessarily. The player has to have a reputation that precedes him. Such was the case with Ryan Parfitt. He came into the league from Norristown and was either given all-star status upon entry or after 1 season. I can't remember which.

Men's and Coed League All-Star Restricted Lists / 2024
The all-star restricted lists for 2024 have been posted. Under normal circumstances, players would be happy to be on this list, but not so much in this instance. While the names on the lists are indicative of very good ball players, being on the list places restrictions on those players with respect...
