Re: Softball America Rule Additions and Amendments for 2022

If I'm reading this correctly, a co-ed team may play with 8 core-players and just 1 female, as long as they take 2 outs in the batting lineup and play only 9 in the field? Or, a co-ed team may play with 5 core players, 3 male eddies, 1 female, take 1 batting out and play just 9 in the field?

Re: 2022 USA Softball Rule Changes

OK, thanks for the clarification. My assumption is, then, that if a player having an asthma attack (or whatever) needs to be passed over in the batting lineup, he/she may return to the lineup after the attack is over.

Re: 2022 USA Softball Rule Changes

In regards to Rule 4, Section 2L (the ADA rule), does the player coming into the game temporarily for a person with a disability need to be a roster player, and, if not, how does affect our non-roster substitution rules? For example, if a player with asthma needs to come out temporarily during an at...

Re: Hatfield Township Warning

I'm scorekeeper on Thursday evenings. I'm going to start taking pictures of trash cans, dugouts, and bleachers before and after our 3 games every week. Perhaps other scorekeepers or umpires can do the same on other days.
