The move makes total sense. Thanks to Curt for being so flexible through it all, and also willing to make personal sacrifice for the rest of us!

Any tournament cancellation will be made on Twitter and Facebook. We've only lost one entire tournament to rain since the fall of 2021. Keep your fingers crossed.

Almost every Memorial Day outing I can remember had been played in sweltering heat. High of 60 is crazy. Probably be in the low 50's for Game 1.

Honestly, let’s look at the bright side! With all the extra dirt on the infield that infield needed water! We are gonna play, maybe delayed in the morning a bit but we will play this and with a high of 60 it’ll be really chill weather where people are less exhausted due to the sun! To me , the best weather ever for Softball is between 60-75! I’m excited

Agreed! The infield needed water in the worst way. We got rain last night at around 5:30 pm. The infield tightened up a bit and was in perfect condition. Then it poured at 8:30 pm and we lost the 3rd and 4th game.

It will be chilly in the morning, but I'm hopeful the rest of the day will be good.

Selina Alicea can no longer attend the tournament. Alternate Kayla Diamond will replace Selina on Team 5.

Here is the current AccuWeather radar map (7:00 am). The gray dot is Warrington.

Here is the future AccuWeather radar map (1:15 pm today).

I'm no meteorologist, but if this system continues as projected without any rap-around effect or stalling, we have a pretty good chance of getting the field ready for the tourney. Ryan Goodman and crew has picked up 10 bags of Turface Quick Dry and the guys are fully prepared to be at the field early Sunday morning to do everything in their power to make this tourney happen.

The call to play or cancel the tournament will be made early Sunday morning. Any announcement to cancel will be posted on Twitter and Facebook.

Here is an updated future AccuWeather radar map (4:15 pm today).

I don't want to get everyone's hopes up, but if the AccuWeather future radar map holds up, we should be in the clear. Only a very weak system to the west of us will have an impact and I don't think that will be more than a light shower or 2 if anything. Then again, Mother Nature can be very fickle so anything is possible.

Here is an updated future AccuWeather radar map (9:30 pm tonight).

At this point in time, the ball field is playable. Yes, you read that right, the ball field is currently playable. If we had to play games tonight, it would be a go. The only remaining concern is the scattered green stuff on the radar map moving up from Virginia. As long as that doesn't intensify, we'll get nothing more than scattered showers- something we should be able to handle. We haven't used the Quick Dry yet. We are saving that for the morning.

A big thank-you goes out to Ryan Goodman and Curt Hensman for their help in getting us to this point. God willing, the games will go on tomorrow!

I am sad to say the Memorial Day 1-Pitch Tournament has been canceled. We can try and resurrect it for the July 4th weekend or redraft.
