From The Gutter / Week 3

Post by sixofdiamonds »

A surprise Monday delivery by T-Bird stat man Pat Dowd. Nice to see. Hope it continues.

A 3-game over 590 by Jonny Poore pushes Wu-Tang Forever past A Team Has No Name to move close to the 500 win/loss mark.

Finger Poppin’ now owns the best record in the league after a 7-0 whitewashing of the Bowling Stones. Gavin G. once again carried the poppers with 3 games over average.

In spite of being shorthanded, Pin Splitters shut down Shut Up and Roll with a 7-0 sweep. Farmer Bob hurled a 53-over 195 to help move the team to within 2 points of the West lead.

PC Squared rebounds after last week’s drubbing with a 7-0 thumping of Splits and Giggles. Carl, Jr. carried the squad with a 48-over 211 and a 581 series. PC moves to within striking distance of the North lead.

Tom and Kevin Finn’s 3 games over carries Two and Half Men to a 7-0 woodshed whoopin’ over a shorthanded Big Heads. Kevin hurled a 65-over 224 to propel the team to the North lead.

The Incredibowls top Bowl Movement 5-2 on Justin Haines’ 74-over G3 to move ahead of the 500 win/loss mark.

Split or Swallow takes all 7 from a very shorthanded Split Happens. Kelly Gallagher led the way for SoS with 3 games over. NOTE: This series is under investigation. It appears pre-bowler Rich Edmunson’s scores from the Split Happens vs. Split of Swallow game were calculated as an absent bowler and not a pre-bowler. After review, Rich Edmundson did in fact pre-bowl on the Tuesday before this past Sunday. His 3 games were all above average (164, 163, 174). This could not have impacted the results any greater than it did. Split Happens goes from losing all 7 to winning all 7. The exact opposite holds true for Split or Swallow. Please accept my apology for the mishap. Revised stats and standings have been posted.

That’s How We Roll falls from the unbeaten ranks at the hands of FYC. Mark Bernacki led the 4-3 win with 3 games over average. THWR maintains a clear lead in the East. FYC not that far off the West pace.

Split Heads forges to the top of the West with a 7-point win over Gutter Humiliation. SH recorded 7 of 9 games over average. GH recorded 7 of 9 games at or under average and needs to right the ship.

PPB edges past a shorthanded Little Lebowski 4-3. Paul Harvan tossed a 41-over 184 and 33-over 176. LLUD still in the East mix. PPB, while at the bottom of the West, is still not that far out of it.

Suds woke up a bit with a 5-2 win over The Nines. Joe DeSousa pounded out a 96-over 264 in Game 3 to give the bubble heads new life in the North.

A shorthanded Three Fingers Deep upended Dookie Brewsters 5-2 tossing 6 of 6 over average. 3FD sits just off the East pace as does DB in the West.

Gutter Girls make an upward move in the standings, topping Glory Bowl 5-2. GB still near the East lead.
