Tournament Weeks 11 & 12 / League Prize Money

Weeks 11 and 12 are for playoffs and tournament bowling. If you want to be part of the tournament, show up on Sunday and pick a lane. Lane assignments are not scheduled save for the final 4 who will bowl on lanes 1-8.

Everyone pays the regular bowling fee of $13.00 for the 3 games PLUS an additional $5.00 per person for the tournament entry fee. The league will kick in an additional $100.00 to the prize fund for each tournament ($75.00 for 1st and $25.00 for 2nd).

If all 10 teams enter the tournament, the winner will take home first place money calculated for each tournament as follows...
# of bowlers times $3.50 plus $75.00 (added by league). With 10 teams that amounts to $180.00.

The runner-up prize money is calculated for each tournament as follows...
# of bowlers times $1.50 plus $25.00. With 10 teams, that amounts to $70.00.

The winner will be the team that scores the highest total pins plus handicap for the 3 games. The runner-up will be the 2nd highest total pins plus handicap for the 3 games. Handicaps from Week 7 will be used to keep the sandbaggers at bay.

It's a lot of fun. The more, the merrier.

Prize Money

As soon as I get Week 10 standings, I will post the playoff match-ups. Prize money is based on the number of teams in the league and the number of bowlers that show up and pay each week. Obviously, with only 10 teams and the loss of 3 weeks to inclement weather, the available prize money somewhat stunted this year compared to years past.
