From The Gutter / Week 9

Post by sixofdiamonds »

With 4 regular season weeks of bowling to go, every team in each of the 4 division remains in contention. While not mathematically eliminated, some need to get a move on. All 6 teams in the West are within a week and a half’s worth of points. 4 of 6 in the East and 5 of 6 in the North are in the same boat. 3 of 6 in the South have realistic shots at the top spot.

Wu-Tang Forever makes West move with a 7-0 sweep of a reeling Big Heads. Sean P’s 3 over 682 paved the Wu-Tang way.

The Incredibowls remain only 2 out of the West lead with a 4-3 win over the East top dog Split Heads.

Suds takes 5 of 7 from Finger Poppin as Julie M hurls a 55-over 200. Suds needs to lather up a few 7-0 wins to make any kind of stretch run.

The Pin Splitters keeping pace in the East with a 5-2 thumping of a sinking JPH.

Dirtballs 5-2 over Split Happens. RJ flashes a 3-over 612.

3 games over by Kevin D gives Gutter Humiliation the 7-0 win and sole possession of 1st in the West. What a difference a year makes for The Nines.

Splits and Giggles narrows the PC Squared lead in the North with a 5-2 win. Nick W and Jerry B went off in games 2 and 3- each tossing a pair of deuces.

7 of 9 games over average gives Pete Rose on 16 the 5-2 nod in spite of a 3-game over effort from Dan G.

3 Fingers Deep keeps the ball rolling with a 5-2 win over Little Lebowski. 3FD is firing on all cylinders. Bryan B hurls 3 over. Greg L with a 58-over 227.

Shut Up and Roll takes advantage of a no-show I Can’t Believe it’s Not Gutter- banking all 7 and putting them only 2 points out of the North lead.

Glory Bowl stays within earshot of the North lead. Bowling Stones trying to keep pace with the South leader. Jason S with a very consistent 3 games over average (175, 178, 179).

A solid team effort gives PPB the 7-0 sweep of Pocket Pounders. What a difference a year makes for the Pocket Pounders.
