Game 1: Harrigan’s vs. Philly’s Phinest

In the top of the first, Greg Thompson deposited a ball deep into the trees to help Harrigan’s jump out to a three run lead. Philly’s Phinest manage a run in the bottom of the frame thanks to Tyler Hancock walking and working his way around the bases. Adam Schwartz drives in two more Harrigan’s runs in the bottom of the second on a base knock. In the bottom of the third, Philly’s Phinest put up three runs as Ed Rocks smacked a two run triple before being driven in on a Mike Rocks Sr single. Valentino Mendez led the bottom of the fifth off with a solo homer and a pair of singles add two runs, giving Philly’s Phinest their first lead. The next inning, Tony Summers launches a three run big fly to extend the lead to four. Harrigan’s, having difficulty getting runners on base, fail to score in their final chance at the dish. Philly’s Phinest move past Harrigan’s, winning 9-5.

Man of the Match: Tony Summers (2-4, 3 R, HR, 3RBI)

Game 2: Amber Inn vs. Dirty Dozen

Amber Inn display some patience in the top of the first, drawing three walks, smacking three singles, and hitting a sac fly to score four runs. Dirty Dozen respond in the bottom of the second with doubles from James McHale and Matt Wass as they plate three. Mark McKinney’s solo shot and Corey Carlen’s two run blast add three runs for Amber Inn in the top of the third. In the top of the fifth, Amber Inn get four singles, Corey Carlen rips a double, and John Graves crushes a three run dinger to plate six runs, adding to their lead. Dirty Dozen wake back up in the bottom of the frame and Mark Meredith drove in a pair on a base hit. In the bottom of the sixth, they tack on two more, highlighted by Angelo Vitantonio’s leadoff home run. In the top of the seventh, Amber Inn tack on an insurance run by hitting three singles, but it wouldn’t be necessary with Dirty Dozen failing to score in their final at bat. Amber Inn dispatch Dirty Dozen 14-7.

Man of the Match: Corey Carlen (3-4, 2 R, 2B, HR, 4 RBI)

Game 3: Philly’s Phinest vs. Bulldogs

Three singles and a fielder’s choice give Philly’s Phinest a two run edge after the top of the first. A pair of singles, an error, and a Matt Lagomarsino double get Bulldogs on the board with a run in the bottom of the first. The next inning Anthony DePaul launches a two run big fly to score both Bulldogs runs. In the top of the third, Mike Rocks Jr smacks a two run dinger and Ray Rocks roped a triple to plate three runs for Philly’s Phinest. Bulldogs tie the game in the top of the fourth as Erik Yavuz led the inning off with a double and scored. In the top of the sixth, Erik Yavuz is the catalyst again for Bulldogs, tripling and giving Bulldogs a one run lead. In the top of the seventh, Philly’s Phinest start with four straight singles, then follow it up with a sac fly to retake their lead. Bulldogs fail to muster more than one hit as they fall to Philly’s Phinest 8-6.

Man of the Match: Tyler Hancock (4-4, 2 R, 2 RBI)

Game 4: Amber Inn vs. Dirt Stars

Amber Inn jump out to an early four run lead on a walk, singles, and a sac fly. They tack on another thanks to John Fine’s solo homer in the top of the second. Another pair of runs cross the dish for Amber Inn in the top of the third on a pair of singles and a Phil Klatch double. Dirt Stars finally get going in the bottom of the third thanks to Dan Owens launching a Grand Slam. Amber Inn tack on another pair of runs in the top of the fourth as John Fine doubled. Brett Rumer cranked a three run dinger in the bottom of the fourth to score all Dirt Stars’ runs. Phil Klatch led off the fifth with a home run, then in the top of the sixth, Amber Inn pour three more runs on with base hits and a Corey Carlen double. After that, neither team would score as Amber Inn secure their place in the championship with a 13- 7 victory.

Man of the Match: John Fine (3-4, 2 R, 2-2B, HR, 2 RBI)

Good luck to Philly’s Phinest and Amber Inn in the championship!
