Game #1 –Morning Wood vs. Hounds

Hounds strike first with a Dan Roman sac fly and Jordan Roman RBI single. Morning Wood starts their offense in the second. Matt Kohn and Kavit Solenki knock in one on an RBI single and Steve Cox brings in two on a two run double. Cotton Hooker brings in a run for Wood on an RBI double increase their lead to 7-2. Wood continue to swing the bat really well getting a three run bomb from Matt Greever in the fourth. Matt Kohn smashes a two run bomb later in the inning as Wood pushes across eight runs total in the inning. Hounds continue to struggle as they can’t get anything going offensively in this one. Colton hooker adds a three run bomb late as Wood will walk through this game. Wood wins 19-2.

Game #2 – Dirt Stars vs. Morning Wood

Dirt Stars send 10 batters to the plate right out of the gate as Stars get six runs early. Dan Urran and Sean Mackley each have two run singles and Nick Carusso and Dan Owens bring in a run on an RBI single. Wood looks to continue their great offensive hitting and they do, responding with seven runs. Charlie Hooker and Kavitt Solanki both smash three run bombs in the inning. Wood would get another run in the second as this game sits at tied after two innings. Wood takes the lead in the third after a Trevor Lane RBI double in the third. Dirt Stars take the lead back in the fifth with three runs off a Miles Davis RBI single and Mackley RBI double. This would be short lived as Wood comes up big in the bottom of the seventh. Needing three runs to win the game, Wood gets back to back homers from C. Hooker and Ben Daniels. Then with the game on the line Matt Kohn delivers a game winning RBI single as Wood takes it. Wood wins 14-13.

Game #3 – MaGerk’s vs. Palz

MaGerks caught fire right out of the gate getting eight runs in the top of the first. Steve Johnson nets two runs on an RBI single and a couple of batters later Brian Hilbert also nets two runs with a two run single. Palz respond with a big inning of their own also pushing eight runs across. Alex Freeman delivered a two run double and Pete Herbert smashed a two run bomb. Ryan Nakonieczny also added an RBI double in the inning. Palz take the lead in the bottom of the third with a bases clearing double from Louie Knochel. Back and forth we go as MaGerks takes the lead on a Blasé Contino and Brian Hilbert RBI single. MaGerks continue to add to the lead late in the game with five more runs in the fifth and sixth inning. Steve Walker added an RBI triple and two run double across the two innings as they will win this one. MaGerks win 18-13.

Game #4 – Birdgang vs. Hambinos

Offense in the first inning continue to be the big story on this day for the whole division as Birdgang explodes for eight runs right out of the gate. James McLaughlin and Justin Csaszak both smash three run bombs in the inning. Mark Rothenberger also adds an RBI single in the inning. Dave Rothenberger, Nick Pittman and M. Rothenberger all add RBI singles in the second to make this an 11-0 game early. Hambinos finally get some offense in the fourth pushing across six runs. Chris Jennings and Spencer Slutsky both have two runs singles in the inning. Birdgang absolutely explode in the sixth scoring a massive 14 runs. The entire team got into the action across the couple of innings. Shawn Collins and Justin Csaszak both had two run doubles in the inning as Birdgang will win this one in a big way. Birdgang wins 31-7.

Game #5 – Sunday Scaries vs. Dave and Confused

The final game of the night gets started with an Adam Allman sac fly. Confused responds with a Sean Pena RBI double, Marc McKinney sac fly and John Hickman fielder’s choice. The first team to strike big in this one is Scaries as they get push eight runs across. Dave McCaguhey smashed a three run bomb in the inning and Colin Kelly added two runs on a two runs single. Marc McKinney and John Graves both smash homers in the third for Confused as they get to within one run. Scaries keep their offense going in the middle of the game getting 9 runs across the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. John Persing smashed a two run bomb in the sixth for Scaries. Scaries add three insurance runs in the seventh as they will win this game pretty easy. Scaries win 23-10.
