Game #1 – Hounds vs. MaGerks Pub

Both teams grab one run in the first before MaGerks nets four runs in the second. Steve Korpalski nets the first run with an RBI single and Brian Hilbert and Blaise Contino both smack RBI triples which net them three runs as they lead 5-1 after two innings. MaGerks double up in the third getting five more runs in the third. John Green knocked in two runs on a two run single and Jim Malloy added one on an RBI triple. Hounds continue to struggle at the plate and can only net a few runs. MaGerks pull away in the fifth getting five more runs off a Denny Nicholson solo bomb and Hilbert two run double. MaGerks will win this one easy. MaGerks win 18-5.

Game #2 – Morning Wood vs. MaGerk’s Pub

Morning Wood grabs an early 4-0 lead after the first inning of play. Colton Hooker starts the scoring with a sac fly followed by a Matt Greever RBI single and Daulton Pickergill two run double. MaGerk’s respond in second with three runs of their own in big part thanks to a Brian Hilbert two run single. MaGerk’s grab the lead in the third getting three more runs. Jeff Tongue and Bill Shubert both had RBI’s in the inning. Hilbert gets MaGerks rolling again with an RBI single and Blasé Contino nets another on a sac fly as MaGerks is up 8-5 after four innings of play. Morning Wood start their comeback in the sixth getting two runs on a Colton Hooker RBI single and Charlie Hooker sac fly. They take the lead in the seventh with more runs. Colton Hooker started them with two runs on a sac fly and Charlie Hooker added another on a solo homer as they lead 12-8. MaGerks get two runs from a Steve Walker two run double and get a runner on base, but that is where this one would end. Morning Wood wins 12-10.

Game #3 – Sunday Scaries vs. Dirt Stars

Scaries get on the board first with two runs on a Dan Kalinoski two run double as they take a 2-0 lead. Dirt Stars respond with three runs in the third on a Dan Curran RBI double and Nick Carusa two run single. Back and forth we go as Scaries take the lead again with five runs in the fourth. Kris Karaba starts it with an RBI triple followed by RBI singles from Andrew Coates and Dave McCaughey. Matt Horn also adds one on a sac fly. Josh Persing smashes a two run bomb in the fifth to increase Scaries lead to 9-4. Scaries add some insurance runs late and even after a three run inning from Dirt Stars which include a two run triple from Shawn Mackley, it would not be enough. Sunday Scaries win 12-7.

Game #4 – Birdgang vs. Dirt Stars

Both teams grab a run over the first two innings until we get to the third when we get some real scoring started. Jason McLaughlin nets Birdgang two runs in the third with a two run bomb. Dirt Stars respond with four runs on a Joe Carpino two run single and Nick Carusa RBI double. Birdgang continues to hit well over the next couple of innings as Dirt Stars slow down. Shawn Collins grabs two runs on a single and a couple of batters later, Dave Rothenberger knocks in two runs on a single of his own. Jason McLaughlin goes deep again in the sixth, another two run homer as he helps to knock this game out of hand for Dirt Stars. Birdgang wins 13-5.

Game #5 – Dave and Confused vs. Palz Tap House

The stage is set for the last game of the day and this one really starts off as an offensive powerhouse. Confused bats around and puts up eight runs. Marc McKinney starts the scoring with a bases clearing double followed by a couple of RBI walks from John Graves and Bryan McMackin. Dave Graves adds another RBI later on a single. Palz get a couple of runs back on an Alex Freeman RBI double and back to back RBI singles from Casey Long and Ryan Nakonieczny. RBI doubles from both Kyle Pederzani and Dave Graves give Confused a couple more runs as they continue to score. They add four more runs in the next couple of innings and we stand at 15-5 after four innings to play with Confused up. Palz grab fuve runs to fight back in this one. Leo Pagan knocks in two on a single and Freeman knocks in two on a double. Confused answer back in the sixth inning scoring five more runs. John Fine knocked in two runs on a two run triple in the inning. Palz mount the comeback, but in the end, Confused had too much in this one. Confused wins 22-15.
