Mud Dogs at Palz
The Mud Dogs struck first blood, scoring 2 in the first as Matt Greener doubled. Palz quickly took the lead in the bottom half as Ryan Nakonieczny doubled and his team scored 3.
The Palz piled on from there. 4 singles and a clutch double from Alex Freeman netted 4 runs in the second. Freeman kicked off the fifth with a double and the Palz scored another in the inning. Then in the sixth, 5 singles and Kyle Greener’s RBI double helped to plate 5 more, giving the Palz a 13-2 lead.
Down to their last licks, the Mud Dogs found their offense again. A walk and 2 singles set the stage for Justin Molfesa’s 2-RBI double. Another runner would score one play later on an error…but two straight outs would stop the rally in it’s tracks.
Final Score: Palz 13 Mud Dogs 5
Player of the Game: Alex Freeman went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs and 2 Runs Scored.

Palz at Isotopes
In the bottom of the first, it was the Palz who scored first, as 2 runners scored on a sac fly by Alex Freeman. The Isotopes tied it up in the top of the third, using 4 singles to do so, before the Palz took the 1-run lead right back on Freeman’s double.
In the fifth, already leading 5-3, th3 Palz offense really went to work. Kyle Greener did the most damage with his 2-RBI double, while his team would go on to score 5 in the inning, making it a 10-3 ballgame.
Sean pena doubled to kick off the sixth for the ‘Topes, cutting the deficit by 1, but Jordan Cohen and the Palz did them one better, as Cohen kicked off a 2-run insurance run inning with a double of his own.
Down 12-4 and 3 outs from going home, Frank Pirrone singled for the Isotopes, but 3 quick outs would end this one after.
Final Score: Palz 12 Isotopes 4
Player of the Game: Alex Freeman went 3 for 3 plus a Sac with a double, 3 RBIs and 3 Runs Scored.

Jackhammer sat Hambinos
The teams traded 1-run innings in the first before 3-straight walks set the table for Spencer Slutsky’s 2-run single for the Hambinos in the second.
Tom Lydon doubled for the Jackhammers in the third, giving his team the 5-3 lead before 4 walks and 2 costly errors yielded 6 cheap runs for the Hambinos in the bottom half.
The Jackhammer offense continued to fight, though, scoring 5 and retaking the lead in the top of the fourth behind Lydon’s 2-run homer. But Mike Mulvihill matched that 2-run homer in the bottom half, once again putting the Hambinos on top.
In the fifth, the Hambinos blew the game open, using a double from Slutsky and a triple from Mark Peasley to plate 5, increasing the lead to 16-10.
The Jackhammers scratched out a run in the sixth, leaving them down 5 heading into their last licks. But just one runner could reach base, and no rally ever really formed.
Final Score: Hambinos 16 Jackhammers 11
Player of the game: In a losing effort, Tom Lydon had a game, going 3 for 4 with a double, homerun, 4 RBIs and 2 Runs Scored.
