Jackhammers at Isotopes
The Jackhammers struck first blood in the top of the first as Kevin Rosini singled to drive in Glen Hipple. Then Howard Miller kicked off the second for the Isotopes with a double. He’d score 2 plays later to tie the game.
In the third, Brandon Bozek doubled and Dan Ruggiero homered, giving the Isotopes their first lead of the game, 3-1. Then the fourth inning came…and it was alllllll Isotopes.
It started with a Dave Ray triple. Then, sprinkled among a SLEW of singles, Dan Riggiero doubled, Dan Wilson doubled, Dave Ray, and Howard Miller all doubled – and Ruggiero also tripled. EIGHTEEN RUNNERS crossed the plate without the Jackhammers recording a single out.
Needless to say, this one ended early.
Final Score: Isotopes 21 Jackhammers 1
Player of the game: Just a single short of the cycle, Dan Ruggiero was the straw that stirred the offensive onslaught’s drink. He went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, homerun, 6 RBIs and 3 Runs Scored.

Hambinos at Isotopes
The Hambinos scored first in this one, as Nick Heller led off with a walk and scored when Mark Peasley doubled him in. But it’d be all Isotopes from that moment-forward.
A trio of walks and a Howard Miller single tied it at 1 in the bottom of the first. Then back-to-back doubles from Dave Ray and Roc Akers helped the Isotopes to plate 3 and take the 4-1 lead in the second.
The teams traded runs in the third before the Isotopes scored a touchdown in the fourth. Trevor Lane kickstarted things with his double – and then Roc Akers added his second double of the game and Dan Ruggiano doubled in 2 runs to cap off the huge fourth inning.
Back-to-back doubles from Rob D’Emilio and Dan Wilson amounted to 2 more in the fifth for the ‘Topes.
In the sixth, the Hambinos finally got back on the board. Mark Peasley led off with a triple, scoring 2 plays later. But leading 14-3, the Isotopes worked to end this one early in the bottom half. Trevor Lane, Howard Miller and Rob D’Emilio went B2B2B with doubles, and Sean Pena provided the walkoff triple.
Final Score: Isotopes 18 Hambinos 3
Player of the Game: Trevor Lane seemed to be involved in everything, going 3 for 4 plus a walk with 2 doubles, an RBI and 2 Runs Scored.

Palz at Mud Dogs
Casey Long led off the game for the Palz with a single, scoring 3 plays later to give his team the early 1-0 advantage. In the second, a pair of errors doubled the Palz lead to 2-0. They used 5 singles, a walk and an error to score 4 more in the third, taking the early 6-0 lead.
In the fourth, the Palz really put the pedal to the metal. 8 singles and 2 costly errors, including Jordan Cohen’s 2-RBI single, produced a touchdown, giving the Palz a dominating 13-0 lead.
The Mud Dogs finally struck blood in the sixth. Tony Figueroa led off with a single and scored one play later when Kavit Solanki tripled him in.
After a Pals insurance run in the seventh, it was time for the Mud Dogs to try to rally from 13 runs down.
Things started well enough, as Brian Figueroa and Daulton Pickersgill led off with back to back triples. But after Jason Figueroa sacrificed himself to score Pickersgill, it was two straight outs and an 11-run loss for the Dogs.
Final Score: Pals 14 Mud Dogs 3
Player of the Game: Casey Long went 5 for 5 in the game, including an RBI and 2 Runs Scored for the Palz.
