Last week of the regular season for the men of the North. Let’s see how things shook out in the super tight playoff race this session.

Game 1: Yankee Clippers v Amber Inn

The Yankee Clippers open up the scoring in the bottom of the first with a solid 3 runs on singles and a Vince DePalma double. They would follow that up with 3 more in the 4th on errors and a huge triple from Kyle Reider. Singles and an error would push across another run for the clips in the 5th and they would end their scoring with a four spot in the top of the 7th via singles.
Walks and a single would plate two in the bottom of the 1st for the scrappy Amber Inn squad to cut the deficit to one. They would follow that up with another two runs to take the lead on singles and a sac fly in the 2nd. A good old fashioned bat around in the 3rd plated 9 huge runs, highlighted by doubles from Tom Frederick, Carl Ervin, Dave Graves, and Marc McKinney, as well as triples from McKinney and John Graves. They followed that outburst up with 5 runs in the 5th via errors and another McKinney triple and would close the door on this game with another bat around in the 6th, scoring runs on doubles from Frederick and John Graves, as well as a 3rd triple from McKinney to put the game away with 8 more runs. Final score: Amber Inn 25 - Yankee Clips 10

Joe Dimezza and Sean Butrica joined the extra base hit party in the 5th with doubles, leading to 4 more runs crossing the dish. They would plate 4 again in the 6th, this time helped by a McDevitt double and a Geno triple.
The Clippers got on the board early as well with singles and walks. They would follow that up with 4 in the 2nd as Nick Wasekanes smoked a deep grand slam in his different color high socks. A Vince DePalma double kept the scoring going as the Clips plate two more in the 3rd. Singles were the means of attack in the 4th as the northern boats plate 3 more. A solo bomb by Wasekanes in the 6th and singles would plate 3 more in the 7th. Final score in this one: 19-15

One Hit Wonders got their scoring in the 2nd inning with a huge 6 spot on singles and a Jesse “I told you i should’ve been cleanup and not leadoff all season” Grasso homer. Doubles from Dave Ketterlinus and Sean McGlaughin as well as a Jack Stepnowski triple scored 2 more in the 3rd. They would tack on runs in the 5th and 7th as Jesse Grasso doubled sand scored in the 5th and a Bill Geoff double and sac fly in the 7th capped their scoring.

A monster 3 run bomb from Greg Guirrino pushes across 3 big runs in the 4th. A Jacob McDevitt double and a triple from Curt Hensman that must’ve gone at-least 450 feet for him to make it to third plates two in the bottom of the 6th. singles, errors and a fielders choice would get the job done for the boys in blue and orange in the 7th as get the job done in this one.
