Game 1: Cifelli’s vs. Pigeon Boyz

PB takes the early lead with five runs in the bottom of the first thanks to back to back doubles by Nick Mancini and Mike Bitterlich. Mike Bitterlich smokes an RBI triple for PB in the bottom of the second. Cifelli’s gets on the board with three runs on singles in the top of the third. Brandon Birkhead and Mike Bitterlich smash homers for PB in the bottom of the fifth. Shane Hanna rips a two run double for PB in the bottom of the sixth as this one ends early. Pigeon Boyz beat down Cifelli’s, 18-3.

Game 2: Pigeon Boyz vs. Vertex

A leadoff double by Sean Nonemcher helps Vertex get a run in the bottom of the first. Shane Hanna launches a solo homer for PB in the top of the second. A leadoff triple by Sean Nonemacher sets up Vertex for a run in the bottom of the third. Doubles by Mike Bitterlich and Brandon Birkhead net PB two runs in the top of the fourth. Mike Bitterlich smashes a three run homer for PB in the top of the fifth. Vertex gets another two runs in the bottom of the sixth. PB breaks the tie in the top of the seventh with three runs on singles. Vertex rallies for two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Pigeon Boyz squeeze by Vertex, 9-8.

Game 3: Doom Cats vs. Vertex

Tom Koelzer smokes a solo homer for DC in the top of the first. Vertex takes the lead in the bottom of the first thanks to five runs on singles and a Matt Schaub double. DC bats around in the top of the second to get five runs with a double by Mo Rodriguez. Doubles by CJ Snyder, Matt Schaub, and Chris Abato, and a Sean Nonemacher two run homer net Vertex four runs in the bottom of the second. Wil Oetinger smashes an RBI triple for DC in the top of the third. Chris Abato ropes an RBI triple for Vertex in the bottom of the third. Zach Martin and Tom Koelzer jack back to back homers for DC in the top of the fourth. DC bats around in the top of the fifth to score six runs with a triple by Matt Hatch, and a Tom Koelzer two run homer. Vertex rallies for four runs in the bottom of the sixth on walks. The Doom Cats out slug Vertex, 19-17.

Game 4: Doom Cats vs. Silverbacks

DC gets three runs in the top of the first thanks to a double by Tom Koelzer, and a Zach Martin triple. The Silverbacks get on the board in the bottom of the second with three runs. A double by Ian Cuozzo helps the Silverbacks plate three runs in the bottom of the third. Singles get DC four runs in the top of the fourth. The Silverbacks push five runs across in the bottom of the fourth on walks and singles. DC plates three runs in the top of the fifth thanks to a triple by Jose Rodriguez, and a Tom Koelzer two run homer. The Silverbacks bat around in the bottom of the sixth to get six runs on singles and a two run homer by Carlos Gonzalez. The Silverbacks beat the Doom Cats, 17-10.

B South

Game 1: Foul Balls vs. Hit Men

Anthony Izzi rips a two run double for HM in the top of the first. Back to back doubles by Dennis D’Angelo and Chriz Cruz help HM get four runs in the bottom of the first. Doubles by Ari Felton and Eric Wren lead to four runs for FB in the top of the fourth. HM plate two runs in the bottom of the fifth with a run scoring double by Pat Feliciani. FB plates another run in the top of the sixth. Pat Feliciani blasts a two run homer for HM in the bottom of the seventh. The Hit Men squeak by Foul Balls, 10-9.

Game 2: Maggios vs. Hit Men

Maggios plates two runs in the top of the first thanks to a double by Jared Katz, and a Dan Weismuller triple. Four runs cross the plate for Maggios in the top of the second. HM gets going in the bottom of the fourth with five runs, courtesy of a double by Pat Feliciani and a Dennis D’Angelo triple. Maggios gets seven runs in the top of the fifth on errors, and homers by Brendan McCoy and Mike Tersha. HM adds seven runs in the bottom of the fifth on walks, singles, and a triple by Dennis D’Angelo. Maggios defeats the Hit Men, 16-12.

Game 3: Doc’s Irish Pub vs. Spartans

DIP gets a run in the top of the first. The Spartans bat around in the bottom of the first to plate seven runs on singles, and doubles by Antonio Almeida and Mike Zahranick. Back to back doubles by Dylan Brooks and Matt Fronhiser lead to a run for DIP in the top of the third. Dylan Brooks smashes an RBI triple for DIP in the top of the sixth. Doc’s Irish Pub takes down the Spartans, 9-7.

Game 4: Spartans vs. Sticky Bandits

SB gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the first. Doubles by Antonio Almeido and Kevin Cash net the Spartans three runs in the top of the second. Nick Ryan blasts a two run homer for SB in the bottom of the third. The Spartans bat around in the top of the fourth to put up seven runs on walks, and a triple by Mike Tarique. SB pushes four runs across in the bottom of the fifth on doubles by Justin Houck and Brian Mish, and a Pat Donnelly triple. The Spartans bat around again in the top of the sixth to score four runs on walks. The Spartans beat up on the Sticky Bandits, 15-9.
