Game #1 – Hambino’s vs. Dirt Stars

Both teams start slow in this one, each grabbing two runs across the first three innings. Matt Schalck had an RBI double and Mark Peasley had an RBI single for Hambino’s. Joe Carpino had a two run single for Dirt Stars. Things stay close as defense continue to be the key for both teams. Peasley was back at it again for Hambinos as he nets another run on a double this time. A bases clearing double from Kevin McNamara quickly gave Dirt Stars back their lead. Joe Tulino gives Dirt Stars a one run lead heading to the bottom of the seventh. Hambino’s get the tying run on base, but are not able to push him in. Dirt Stars hold on in this one. Dirt Stars win 7-6.

Game #2 – Hambino’s vs. Philly’s Phinest

Hambinos come flying out of the gate with six runs over the first two innings. Brado Gowe and Matt Schalck have RBI singles in the first inning and Mike Mulvhill and Joe Pizzola grab RBI’s on walks. More of the same came in the fourth inning as Hambinos put up another six runs. Gower delivered the big shot with a grand slam in the inning. Philly Phinest show some life in the fourth inning as they get five runs of their own. Chris Cinqu brought in two runs and Chris Rocks smashed a two run single later in the inning. Hambino’s continue to hit later in the game adding eight more runs over the last two innings. Gower accounted for three more RBI’s and Spencer Slutsky had three RBI’s of his own. Hambinos’ roll in this one and take it 20-7.

Game #3 – Philly’s Phinest vs. SCLSU Mud Dogs

Philly looks to get on top early in this and grab an early 1-0 lead on a Valentino Mander RBI single. Sean Boyle doubles that lead in the second with a RBI of his own. That is quickly cut in half by a Tony Figueroa RBI single making this a 2-1 game. Both teams come out swinging in the third with Philly adding two runs and Mud Dogs getting three runs leaving them deadlocked after three innings. Philly breaks out a six run lead started by a two run bomb from Mike Rocks Jr. That is quickly following up by back to back two run doubles from Chris Clinque and Tony Summers. Chris Rocks adds an RBI single in later in the inning as well. Mud Dogs get three of those runs back off the bat of a Tony Figueroa bases clearing double bringing the score to 10-7. Mud Dogs get one last crack in the seventh, but can only manage to get one runner on and will fall in this one. Philly Phinest win 10-7.

Game #4 – Bulldogs vs. SCLSU Mud Dogs

Mud Dogs come out looking for a better start than they just had in the previous game and get it getting back-to-back RBI’s from Trevor Lane and Josh Figueroa. Bulldogs get them back in the second inning, getting two runs from a Shawn Dunn RBI single and Dave Robbins sac fly. Bulldogs double that up and get four runs in the third inning after a John Hogan two run single and John Stover RBI single. Anthony Bates also grabbed one from a sac fly in the inning as well. Bulldogs start to pull away in the fifth inning, pushing across another five runs. Mike Suda had the big shot, with a three run bomb in the inning, but both Stover and Chuck Frazier helped with RBI singles as well. Bulldogs add insurance runs in the sixth and pull away in this one. Bulldogs win 15-3.
