B West 7/12/20

Post by Geno8121 »

HG Coal Fire and MaGerks sitting on the top of the division. Will anyone challenge them for B West Supremacy? Let's find out in a rockin' week 3.

Palz (A) vs. HG Coal Fired Pizza (H)

Palz started the game off with 2 runs in the top of the first with a FLASH FREEMAN Double. HG would answer as they have all season with a Jay Stein extra base hit who is often the straw that stirs the pot Andrew's brother Justin Knapp BAZOOKA's a triple and the Parker Brother both knock in runs with them both scoring on a Tyler Cohen 3 Bagger. 4-2 HG after 1. Palz would bounce back in the 3rd as FLASH was back at it with a Triple, Greener knocked him in with a single and then he came around to score on a Timmy Reinboth LONG SINGLE. A quiet 4th lead to a 5-4 HG lead headed to the pivotal 5th inning. Palz scored 2 when "Mama there goes that man again" Flash Freeman blasted a 2 run home run into the trees at Cedar Hill to take a 6-5 lead however HG Coal Fire does exactly what they are known for and responds with a vicious 7 run onslaught. Cohen, B-Park, Messina and Gilbert all singled while A-Park Doubled and Neal "Keeping it Real" Herbert hit a piss missile to get a triple. That 7 run inning was enough to hold on to a 13-7 win for HG.. However Flash Freeman did have an anti climatic 1B in the 7th to give him the CYCLE.
HG 13 - Palz 7
Game MVP(s) - Alex "Flash" Freeman 4-4 with the cycle in a losing effort and Neal "Keeping it Real" Herbert was 3-3 with a Triple

E's Irish Pub (A) vs The Jackhammers (H)

E's starts the game on fire, they have the most 1st inning runs in the league! Anthony Snyder and Zach Walsh with back to back doubles then 5 straight singles lead to a 6 run first for E's. The Hammers cut that lead in half as a couple walks and a single loaded the bases with 2 outs for Mike Wadworth who cleared them all with a huge triple! Just as E's has done all year, they've gotten early leads and slowed down. E's scored 2 more in the 3rd using singles to extend their lead. The Hammers clawed back stringing together a couple runs with patience at the plate and RBI singles by drip drop War Drop and Tom Lydon making it an 8-5 game. A quiet 4th for both teams leading to the pivotal 5th inning. Chris Collins leads off the inning with a Triple and singles by the Walsh brothers and Mike Michini plate 3 runs for E's to make it 11-5. The Jackhammers would not go quietly stringing together 4 singles to plate 4 runs to close the gap to 11-9. E's goes done quietly in the 6th and 7th setting the stage for the Jackhammers down 2 in the bottom of the 7th. Single by Finn, Single by Rosini, Walk for WarDrop loads the bases with nobody out! Single by Lydon scores 1, single by Demko scores another tying the game with 1 out and the bases loaded but after an infield fly and a ground ball to 1st the game ends in an 11-11 tie with both teams feeling like they kissed their sister.

E's 11 - Jackhammers 11
Game MVP(s) - Zach Walsh 4-4 and Kevin Rosini 2-2 with 2 walks.

E's (A) vs Hattricks (H)

E's would continue their plate struggles that ended their game vs the Jackhammers scoring none in the 1st 3 innings. Hattricks on the other hand did not struggle early. Collin Murray Triple'd to start the game then Basil knocked him in, then Josh Graef knocked him in. 5 more runs in the 2nd highlighted by big doubles by Basil and Tyler Roetman both knocking in 2 runs a piece! Hattricks added another run in the 3rd to make it 8-0. E's finally responded scoring 8 straight runs to tie the game! 2 in the 4th with a couple of singles and a Tom Collins Wine Mixer double. The 5th E's really stepped on the gas batting around scoring 6 with a double by Barnnat and a Triple by Anthony Snyder! 8-8 headed to the bottom of the 5th when Hattricks put the final dagger in E's scoring 6 runs, singles started it and a 3 Run BOMB by Josh Graef ended it.

Hattricks 14 - E's 8
Game MVP(s) - Josh Graef 3-4 with a 2B and HR

Hattricks (A) vs MaGerks (H)

Collin Murray starts the game with another triple, DEJA VU. I literally had to double check the score sheets because Basil knocked him in and scored also... FREAKY! 2-0 Hattricks... However, that is all the MaGerks defense would allow all game! MaGerks took advantage of an error in the 1st with a double by Rich Houser. 3-2 MaGerks. The 3rd inning MaGerks broke the game open with 3 extra base hits by Blase (TRIPLE), Nicholson and Hughes (DOUBLES) to make it a 8-2 lead. 6 singles lead to 5 more runs in the 5th and a huge triple by JUMPIN' JIM Molloy followed by Steve "The Rock" Johnson with a 3 bagger of his own. This game was over in a hurry.

MaGerks 16 - Hattricks 2

Game MVP(s) - Brian Hughes 2-2 with a double and 2 BB's
