7/12 B North ....And another one...

B North has a ton of intrigue this season as every team has come up big in spots to gather HUGE wins and bounced back off of tough loses with no signs of give up.

Game 1: Ballz Deep v Amber Inn

After surrendering a run in the 2nd to singles, Ballz Deep battled back to score a run of their own in the lead by way of Sean Butrica and Sean Hinnigan doubles. Ballz Deep would take the lead in the 3rd also by way of the two bagger as leadoff hitter Joe Dimezza pushed a single to two. The boys from down under would extend their lead in the 6th inning as another Dimezza double set the table and Jacob McDevitt cleared the table with a 3 run jack. Down but not out, the men from Amber Inn battled back with a run in the 5th on a John Finer triple ad 3 runs in the 6th to make it a one run game, this time highlighted by a Corey Carlin three bagger. A game that ramped up to be a battle of lions ended with a purr and not a roar as both teams went down in order in the 7th.

Final Score: Ballz Deep 6 - Amber Inn 5

Game 2: Ballz Deep v Phinnies

The Bristol Boys hammered home 3 runs in the first via singles to take an early lead. Ballz Deep answered back to take the lead over the next two innings as singles plate a run in the 2nd and both Jason Falcone and Greg Guarino double in he 3rd to plate three runs. In the bottom of the 3rd, Phinnies would knot the score as Woody Darling smomed a two bagger to bring in a run. Geno put Ballz Deep back up two as he knocked a double in the 5th setting up for an insane 7th inning finish. Ballz Deep got the party started as they bat around to the tune of 7 runs highlighted by doubles from Guarino and Sean Butrica and a monster triple from Jacob McDevitt. Like Rocky, the bruised Phinnies team got off the canvas and battled back in the bottom half of the inning, also batting around, but they were only able to muster 5 runs despite another Darling double and triples from Greg Wyckoff and Gary Thompson.

Final Score: Ballz Deep 12 - Phinnies 9

Game 3: Phinnies v Yankee Clippers

It was all Phinnies in this one. Despite not having leader Curt Hensman, Phinnies crushed the ball all over the yard. They would start by plating 4 in the first on singles, follow that up with a run in the 3rd on a walk. The fourth inning was an explosion as walks, singe=les and TWO GRAND SLAMS BY WOODY DARLING plate 11 runs. They would finish their day with a run in the 6th via a Dustin Zeak double. The Yankee Clippers did have some highlights in this one as John Bennett crushed a triple and scored in the 2nd inning, Kai Browner demolished a two run homer in the 5th, and Nick Wasekanes crnked a solo shot in the 7th inning.

Final Score: Phinnies 17 - Yankee Clippers 4

Game 4: Dark Horse v Misfits

Dark Horse broke into the scoring column early and often as they plate 3 in the first on singles and 3 in the 2nd on back to back doubles from Paul Ferruzzi and Nick Mariana doubles. In the bottom half of the 2nd the Misfits cut into the deficit with two runs on walks and singles and followed that up with another 3 runs in the 3rd on a Joe Torres homer. In the 4th inning the Misfits would extend their lead with 3 runs on singles, but the Misfits would once again battle back scoring a run of their own on doubles from Nick Perez and Zach Downs. The rest of this seesaw battle went the way of the Horse as they score another run in the 5th on a Zach Adam triple and a huge 5 runs in a bat around during the 6th inning to put the game away, highlighted by doubles from Richie Simms and Adam.

Final Score: Dark Horse 15 - Misfits 4
