Game 1: Doom Cats vs. Pigeon Boyz

Jose Rodriguez smokes an RBI triple for DC in the top of the first. DC plates five runs in the top of the second on walks, singles, and a double by Zach Martin. PB gets on the board with four runs in the bottom of the second with a Mike Bitterlich three run homer. DC puts up four runs in the top of the fourth on singles, and a triple by Matt Hatch. Three runs cross the plate for PB in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an RBI double by Mike Bitterlich. DC bats around in the top of the fifth to get nine runs on singles, and doubles by Tom Koelzer and Matt Hatch. Singles lead to three runs for PB in the bottom of the fifth. DC adds three runs in the top of the seventh. The Doom Cats take the first game, 27-11.

Game 2: Pigeon Boyz vs. Doom Cats

PB take the early lead in the top of the first with four runs thanks to doubles by Nick Mancini and Justin Miller. DC gets on the board with two runs in the bottom of the second. Tom Koelzer and Matt Hatch smash two run homers for DC in the bottom of the third. PB bats around in the top of the fourth to score five runs with a three run homer by Brandon Birkhead. Back to back triples by Jimmy Craig and Keith Keppley net DC three runs in the bottom of the fourth. PB bats around again in the top of the sixth to push five runs across, thanks to a three run double by Brandon Bozek and a Mike Bitterlich solo homer. DC picks up four runs in the bottom of the sixth with doubles by Keith Keppley and Zach Martin, and a Tom Koelzer RBI triple. DC rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. We head to free softball. Jose Rodriguez smokes a triple in the bottom of the eighth and races home to score the championship winning run on a Chris Hackney single. The Doom Cats take the second game in eight innings 16-15, and the summer title. Congrats!

Game 1: Spartans vs. Sons of Pitches

Mike Mahan rips an RBI triple for the Spartans in the top of the first. SOP scores four runs in the bottom of the first thanks to back to back doubles by Dylan Brooks and Matt Fronheiser. An RBI double by Dylan Brooks helps SOP score three runs in the bottom of third. The Spartans add two runs in the top of the fifth. Sons of Pitches wins the first game, 7-4.

Game 2: Sons of Pitches vs. Spartans

SOP plates five runs in the top of the first thanks to an RBI triple by Josh Keszczyk and a Dylan Brooks three run homer. Back to back doubles by Dylan Brooks and Matt Fronheiser lead to four runs for SOP in the top of the second. Brian Kesik smashes a solo homer for the Spartans in the bottom of the second. Dylan Brooks and AJ Bagushinski jack homers for SOP in the top of the fourth. Singles help the Spartans pick up three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Mike Mahan rips a two run triple for the Spartans in the bottom of the sixth. Sons of Pitches takes the second game, 16-9, and the summer title. Congrats!
