Opening Week of the Summer Session B West Softball

Christian Cloud Chasers @ Harrigans Pub

The Cloud Chasers squeeze a run across with a couple of singles in the top of the first, Harrigans answers back with the way of the walk. Cam Crosley doubled in 2 to lead to a 6 run first. The cloud chasers get 2 back in the 2nd on a Sean Thomas double. 4 more walks and a double by John Biesglie led to 3 more runs for Harrigans in the 2nd. 9-3 After 2 innings. Doubles by Suga Shane Harter and Anthony Rivera help the Cloud Chasers 2 more runs back in the 3rd but WALKS continue to do them as Harrigans scores 7 more runs without a hit in the 3rd! Doubles by James Webb and Rahmire Jackson help lead a 5 run 5th inning for the cloud chasers but it wouldnt be enough as Harrigans walks to victory!

Harrigans @ Sons of Pitches

Harrigans a forced to swing the bat in this one and they come out hot scoring 3 runs in the 1st as Kyle Simms doubles and scores. Josh Keszcyk SMASHES a home run in the bottom of the inning to tie the game up. Sons of Pitches added 3 more in the 2nd off a couple errors and 2 hits. They added 3 more in the 3rd with a double by Clay Snyder. 9-3 After 3 innings. In the 4th inning Cam Crosley doubled and Justin Hughes mashed a triple to get 2 back in the 4th for Harrigans. Sons of Pitches unloaded an 11 spot in their half of the 4th. As Clay Snyder, Joe Stankovics, Jon Beard and Paul Elliot all double! Sons of Pitches scores 7 more in the 5th as they stop this one via the Mercy Rule after Brett Keszcyk and Matt Fronhezser double as well as Austin Kooker!

The Hounds @ Sons of Pitches

The Hounds scored 3 runs in the first 3 innings, the big blow being a triple by Jose Villa! Sons of Pitches continued to swing a hot bat scoring 2 in the 1st off a Josh Keszcyk double and another one in the 2nd off of a Joe Stankovics double. They added 2 more in the 3rd with patient bats and a few errors. 6-3 after 3 innings. The Hounds tie it in the top of the 4th scoring 3 runs off of walks and 2 singles. The next 2 innings told the story as Sons of Pitches scored 5 runs off just 2 hits pulling away in this one.

Swingers @ The Hounds

The Hounds would welcome the upstart Swingers to the Wild Wild West. The Hounds jumped on them 3-0 in the 1st inning. After a scoreless 2nd the Hounds increased their lead to 4-0 as BAM BAM Ben Roman laced a double to score Brandon from 1st. 4-0 Hounds... Swingers clawed their 1st B West run in the 3rd on an error and single, got another in the 4th as Brian Close DOUBLE and scored on a Ben Razzi single. Down 4-2 The Swingers might have felt like a jump in divisions might be a big challenge but they just started SWINGING!!!! Ayden Coyle hit a bases clearing triple to take the lead for Swingers and scored then they loaded them up again for Dion Greene who cleared them with a double of his own as the Swingers explode for 6 runs to take an 8-4 lead. They would pull away in the 6th inning scoring 4 more as Brian Close CLOSED out the Hounds with another extra base hit, this time a 3 BAGGER.

Cifelli's Sunoco @ Philly's Phinest

Mike Shoenagel helped give Cifelli's a 3-0 lead with a DINGER in the top of the 1st. Philly's Phinest matched them with 3 of their own starting the season with 5 straight singles. Cifelli's took the lead back as Derek Smith YELLED YAHTZEE as he smashed a 2 run bomb in the 3rd. Sam Ryan extended that lead in the 4th hitting a 3 run BAZOOKA in the 4th scoring 5 runs to take 10-4 lead after 4. Philly's Phinest would try to fight back adding 3 runs by way of the single in the next 2 innings but Cifelli's was just too much adding 6 more in the top of the 7th, the big blow being a Big Time Timmy Williams double. Cifelli's with the opening day W.
