Sunday Morning B West PLAYOFFS!

Hounds (5) @ Sons of Pitches (4)

Both teams start slow with a quiet 1st inning but in the 2nd Pete Corrigan doubled and scored on his brother Mike's single to give Hounds a 1-0 lead. Sons of Pitches answered with 3 runs the big blow being a Jon Beard double! Sons of Pitches added to their lead in the 3rd with 3 more runs by way of the single. 6-1 Sons of Pitches after 3 innings. Hounds cut into the lead with a 2 runs playing small ball! A couple singles lead to another run in the 5th with a couple singles to make it a 2 run game. Sons of Pitches got 1 back moving singles around to make it 7-4 after 5 innings. In the 6th Sons of Pitches scored another run off an error. 8-4 going to the top of the 7th with top of the order for Hounds.. Boom Boom Brandon Roman doubles, but after 2 fly out's to right field they were down to their last out, Denny Nicolson doubles, Pete Corrigan doubles it just wasn't enough as the tying run was left at the plate.

Swiners (3) @ Philly's Phinest (2) - Semi Final Game!

Mike Rocks Jr scored on a Tony Summers double to start the scoring. Swingers tie the game with a Triple by Dian Green! Philly's Phinest gets 4 in the bottom of the 3rd as Tony Summers does it again scoring 2 off his double and socring on the DESERT FOX Chris Rommel's single. 5-1 Philly Phinest after 3. Aidan Coyle gets 2 runs for the Swingers smashing a triple. Philly's Phinest gets those 2 runs back using patience at the plate! 7-3 after 4. The Swingers ROAR back with 4 runs to tie the game in the top of the 5th as David Kretchman bazooka's a double! Brian Hilbert slaps a single to score 2 runs to take a 9-7 lead! Philly's Phinest pulls away in the 6th inning scoring 6 runs off of singles and walks.

Sons of Pitches (4) @ Cifelli's Sunoco (1)

Josh Keszczyk doubles in AJ Bagushinski to start the scoring for Sons of Pitches. Cifelli's the top seed in the division crushes the ball and they started that early with a 2 run DINGER by TOBY COLEMAN. They added 3 runs in the 2nd with a Bob Flemming Double and a Blake Hilebrandt 2 run double taking a 5-1 lead. Sons of Pitches cuts into the lead with 3 doubles by Dylan Coughlin, Jon Beard and Josh Keszczyk to score 2 runs. Sons of Pitches take the LEAD over the top seeded Cifelli's team with 5 runs in the 4th the big blow being a Joe Stankovics double! Cifelli's being the 1 seed that they are, they know adversity, responding quickly to take the lead back with 3 runs of their own. Derek Smith blasts a triple, Toby Coleman AGAIN smashes the ball this time with a double. 9-8 Cifelli's after 4 innings. Sons of Pitches would re take the lead with 2 runs as the PISTOL PAUL ELLIOT doubled. 10-9 Sons of Pitches heading to the 6th inning. Josh Keszczyk doubles and his brother Brett doubles to score him and another to extend their lead to 12-9. Sam Ryan CRUSHES a solo home run to cut into the lead and they scrape one more across with singles. 12-11 headed to the 7th inning. I normally dont shout out singles but Joey Giampietro, Dylan Coughlin and Jon Beard were HUGE here hitting 3 singles to score 2 runs! Bottom of the 7th, 1 seed on the ropes and BACK TO BACK K's started the inning with 2 outs! Blake Hilebrandt wasn't going down without a fight as he doubles, Derek Smith LAUNCHED a 2 run show to make it a 1 run game. Big Bat TOBY COLEMAN comes to the plate and he launches a ball, deep to left field... and... its... CAUGHT! Down goes Frasier! Sons of Pitches advance!
