Game 2: Sunday Scaries vs. Ball Busters
In the top of the first, Kris Karaba ripped a double to plate the first run of the game for Sunday Scaries. The next frame, Sunday Scaries tack on another pair with Casey Hesdon and Pat Deacon each knocking a run in on singles. In the top of the third, Andrew Coates doubled and scored on a Carson Coates base knock to add another run for Sunday Scaries. Ball Busters finally woke up in the bottom of the third, taking the lead by plating five runs mostly from Brendan Parker’s Grand Slam. Not to be outdone, Sunday Scaries reclaimed the lead with eight runs on two walks, five singles, a sac fly, and Kris Karaba’s solo dinger. Brendan Parker smashed a three run bomb in the bottom of the seventh, but Ball Busters wouldn’t be able to close the gap. Sunday Scaries defeat Ball Busters 12-8.

Man of the Match: Casey Hesdon (2-3, R, 3 RBI)

Game 3: Sunday Scaries vs. Palz Tap House
The first run crossed the plate in the bottom of the second thanks to Pete Herbert smashing a solo homer for Palz Tap House. In the top of the third, Andrew Coates roped a double and Kris Karaba smashed a three run dinger as Sunday Scaries plated six to take the lead. Palz tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth via a sac fly, two singles, doubles from Alex Freeman and Pete Herbert, a triple from Tom Jacob, and a two-run bomb from Nick Park. Andrew Coates doubled and scored to reclaim a slim lead for Sunday Scaries in the top of the fifth. In the bottom of the frame, Alex Freeman’s solo homer and Kyle Greener’s RBI double added two runs for Palz to take another lead. Kris Karaba led the top of the sixth off with a solo shot and his teammates followed that with four singles and a walk to total four runs. In the bottom of the frame, a walk and a pair of singles help Palz plate one to halve their deficit. Sunday Scaries added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh thanks to Kris Karaba smashing his third homer of the game (and fourth of the day). In the final turn at the dish, Tom Jacob’s solo homer accounted for the only run Palz could muster. Sunday Scaries prevail in a back-and-forth thriller over Palz Tap House, winning 14-10.

Game 1: Ball Busters vs. Palz Tap House
Ball Busters burst out of the gate in the top of the first, batting around to score nine runs on two walks, seven singles, and a Justin Knapp double. In the bottom of the frame, Palz drew a pair of walks and poked a couple singles to get a run back. Four more came in for Ball Busters in the top of the second with Mike Connor and Justin Knapp collecting a pair of RBIs on a double and home run, respectively. Casey Long drove in a pair on a double for Palz in the bottom of the second. In the top of the third, Brendan Parker drove in all three Ball Buster runs by ripping a ball deep into the woods. Tom Jacob smashed a two run bomb and Kyle Greener smacked an RBI double to help plate three for Palz in the bottom of the third. The next inning, they scored a pair of runs as Nick Park launched a ball into the trees to end the fourth down 16-8. In the top of the fifth, Andrew Parker roped a two run dinger and in the top of the sixth, two more runs came in for Ball Busters as Justin Knapp and Mike Marcelline doubled. The seventh was silent and this game ended with Ball Busters smashing Palz Tap House 20-8.

Man of the Match: Andrew Parker (4-5, 3 R, 2B, HR, 2 RBI)

Game 2: Saints & Sinners vs. Ball Busters
Saints & Sinners get on the board quickly in the top of the first, scoring one run on a pair of singles. In the bottom of the frame, Ball Busters responded with four runs on a sac fly, three singles, an Eric Cohen double, and an Andrew Parker triple. The bottom of the second was a bloodbath as every Ball Buster had two plate appearances with each team member reaching base safely at least once. A ridiculous 15 runs were scored highlighted by Zach Lyall’s two run double, Andrew Parker collecting 4 RBIs on a double and a base knock, and with Brendan Parker smashing a three run bomb. In the top of the third, Saints and sinners manage to claw back a run with Dave Nielson singling and scoring. Ball Busters kept rolling in the bottom of the third, smacking four straight singles before Jay Stein launched a two run dinger as they added five runs to their lofty total. Chris Fig managed to smack a two out, solo dinger in the top of the fourth, but Saints & Sinners were let off the hook by the mercy rule. Ball Busters destroy Saints & Sinners 24-3.

Man of the Match: Andrew Parker (4-4, 4 R, 2B, 3B, 5 RBI)

Game 3: Dirt Stars vs. Saints & Sinners
The first runs in this one came in the top of the second where Dirt Stars patiently drew six walks and managed to plate four runs while recording only one hit, a Jeff Sywulak single. In the bottom of the second, three straight singles and a fielder’s choice got a run on the board for Saints
& Sinners. Two walks, two singles, and a sac fly added two runs to Dirt Stars’ lead in the top of the third. Saints & Sinners matched them in the bottom of the third thanks to Jimmy Lewis roping a double and Chris Donnelly smacking a triple. In the top of the fourth, four of the first five Dirt Stars to come up to bat drew a walk, then Nick Caruso and Joey Tulino drove in runs on a double and single, totalling five runs. Jeff Sywulak led the top of the fifth off with a solo homer, then his teammates produced a couple of singles and walks plus a sac fly to put three on the board. In the top of the sixth, Dirt Stars kept rolling. They batted around on a walk, six singles, and a Matt Greener triple to tack on another six runs, extending their big lead. With their backs against the wall, Saints & Sinners got a pair of RBI singles with two outs from Greg Morris and Chris Donnelly, but they’d once again succumb to the mercy rule. Dirt Stars crushed Saints & Sinners 20-5.

Man of the Match: Joey Tulino (3-4, R, BB, 5 RBI)

Game 4: Dirt Stars vs. Sunday Scaries
Dirt Stars got off to a great start in the top of the first as they batted around on three walks, six singles, and Shawn Mackley’s two run double to plate seven. In the bottom of the frame, Sunday Scaries started hot with three straight singles to set up Kris Karaba who smashed a Grand Slam deep into the trees. Two runs came in for Dirt Stars in each of the top of the second and third via walks, singles, and sac flies. Sunday Scaries got back on the scoresheet with three runs in the bottom of the sixth as Colin Kelly and Nick Kalinoski drove in one and two, respectively. In the top of the seventh, Shawn Mackley knocked in a run on a triple and then scored on a sac fly as Dirt Stars added two insurance runs. In the final frame, Sunday Scaries got their first two batters on base, but three straight grounders ended their comeback attempt. Dirt Stars hold on and defeat Sunday Scaries 13-7.

Game 1: Alliance Hauling vs. Dave & Confused
Striking first in the bottom of the first inning, Dave & Confused plated one run on three singles. They followed that with another one run frame in the top of the second, with Bryon McKinney smoking a double and scoring. In the bottom of the third, Dave & Confused added seven runs to their total as they batted around thanks to doubles from Dave Graves, Carl Ervin, and Jeff Johnson, a two run triple from Mark McKinney, and a two run big fly from John Fine. This inspired Alliance Hauling to get on the board in the top of the fourth, where a leadoff double from Matt Gallagher was followed by a sac fly and a few singles to get two runs. In the bottom of the fourth, a walk and a single got another run for Dave & Confused. Four singles, an error, and Matt Gallagher’s double led to four runners crossing the dish for Alliance Hauling in the top of the fifth. The next inning, they manage to tack on three more by forcing another error and smacking four base knocks. In the top of the seventh, Will Schultz launched a solo dinger for Alliance Hauling to tie the game at ten runs apiece. In the game’s final turn at bat, Dave & Confused rip three straight singles, the final blow coming off the bat of John Graves to walk off with an 11-10 victory over Alliance Hauling.
