B North 7/7/18 and 7/15/18

Sorry folks for the delay, my computer issues have been sorted out and it's time to write-up a WHOLE NEW B NORTH division as both teams who played in the Spring Championship have not returned, and we have a whole slew of new teams vying to be the Kings of the North.
Game 1: Bulldogs v Pink Sox

As a new team has stepped up to enter the arena, they found out out that B North is one of the most competitive division in SBA. The Bulldogs got the scoring going in the top of the 1st as they hammered home five runs highlighted by doubles from Paul Burtis and Dave Nagle. Following up that scoring outburst in the 3rd inning, the Bulldogs nailed the rare double bat around as they would plate 16 runs! Highlighting the scoring extravaganza was homeruns from Mike Suda, Dave Nagle, and Anthony Bates, a triple from Matt Lagomarsino and a slew of singles from everyone on the team. Following the rally they would add three more in the 4th inning as the Anthonys (Depaul and Bates) would double and triple respectively and plate three more runs. The Pink Sox did manage their first runs of the season in the 4th as they were able to score two on a Doug Blutstein two run homer.

Final Score: Bulldogs 24 - Pink Sox 2

Game 2: Dirty Dozen v Pink Sox

Dirty Dozen got the scoring party started in the top of the 1st inning as they are able to score four runs via a Ben Vitelli double, a Nick Vitelli homer, and a slew of singles. Four walks helped the Sox plate a run in the bottom half of the inning to cut into the deficit. Ben Vitelli would do the major damage in the top of the 2nd as his triple would plate two more runs for the Dozen. Answering the bell once again the Sox managed a run on a single and an error. The Dozen continued to score in the 3rd as a homer from Angelo Vitantonio started the inning and four singles plated two others. In the bottom of the inning, the Pink Sox would have a huge scoring outburst as Jon Fine cranked a two run homer and a combination of singles and errors would plate two additional runs. Ben Vitelli would continue hit torrid hitting streak as he cranked a homer of his own in the 4th inning and the Dozen would get another in the 6th via singles. In the bottom of the 6th the Pink Sox roared back once again as they are able to plate a run on an Andrew Silverman two bagger. A Mike Roche triple and a Constantine Georgiadis double capped the scoring for this one for the Dirty Dozen as they are able to plate 3 runs in the 7th to cap a victory.

Final Score: Dirty Dozen 14 - Pink Sox 7

Game 3: Misfits v Dirty Dozen

When the Misfits did damage in this game they did it to the tune of multiple runs per inning. In the top of the 2nd inning, singles and errors plated 3 runs. In the 3rd, back to back doubles from Walt Zolna and Chris Quinn paced the scoring as they are able to push across four more. Rico Jones got the party started in the 5th as his solo homer led to a scoring outburst of 5 runs on five singles. Lastly, in the 6th a plethora of singles and errors accrued five more runs for the squad. The Dirty Dozen did plenty of scoring of their own in this one as they are able to score 3 in the top of the first as Ben Vitelli and Nick Vitelli both doubled in runs. In the third they would plate five more runs as Big Ben doubled, Nick the stick tripled, and Angelo V. tripled. Benny V continued his double streak in the 5th as he would double and a gaggle of singles pushed across 2 more runs. Back to back Vitelli singles would once again pace scoring in the 7th inning as the Dozen are able to score two more runs.

Final Score Misfits 17 - Dozen 12

Game 4: Misfits v Yankee Clippers

The Misfits owned the first two innings of this game as they were able to score 9 runs early. In the first Chris Quinn tripled in two runs and scored on a sac, while the second inning was highlighted by singles and home runs from Jimmy Cooker and Walt Zolna. The Clippers fired back in the 3rd as Brian McGuire doubled home two runs and scored on an error. 5th inning fireworks happened for both teams as got four on singles and a Rico Jones double, while the Clippers got four of their own via a Mcguire triple and back to back doubles from John Bennett and Dan Wilson. Singles scored another run for the Misfits in the 6th, but the inning would belong to the Clips as they plate 5 runs on singles and back to back to back doubles from the trio of Mcguire, Bennett and Wilson once again. In the 7th, a plethora of singles, followed up by doubles from Jim Graff and Dan Cripps would score a huge five spot for the Misfits. They would go back to the double and homer formula in the 4th inning as Phil Klatch smoked the double and Marc McKinney followed suit with a two run homer plating four runs. The OHWs spread their scoring out in this one as they scored five runs in the bottom of the first on walks, singles, and a Jared Owens three run bomb. They would follow up with a run in the 3rd as Rob Gisordi doubled and scored via a bases loaded walk. A solo homer from Jesse Grasso and back to back doubles from Josh Parker and Jared Owens helped notch four for the Wonders in the fourth. In the 5th inning Bill Groff led off with a double and scored two batters later. Finally in the 7th down a run, Paul Ferruzzi Jr came up huge with a game tying double.

In the first, Sean Butrica doubled and scored on a Geno single and in the 2nd a good ol fashioned bat around highlighted by a Gene Walczak three run homer and an Adam Bagushinski double helped score eight.
