Game 1: Silverbacks vs. Goodfellas
The Silverbacks plate four runs in the top of the first on errors and a double by Kevin Taite. A double by DJ Ellars helps the Silverbacks put up two runs in the top of the third. GF gets on the board in the bottom of the fourth with three runs, courtesy of doubles by Dave Shannon and Tom Egitto. Three runs cross the plate for the Silverbacks in the top of the sixth with Kevin Taite ripping a double. Mike Chwieroth blasts a solo homer for GF in the bottom of the sixth. Rob McKenna smashes a solo homer for the Silverbacks in the top of the seventh. The Silverbacks top the Goodfellas, 11-5.
Game 2: Maggios vs. Goodfellas
Brian Sassano rakes a run scoring triple for Maggios in the top of the first. GF takes the lead in the bottom of the first with five runs thanks to back to back to back doubles by Mike Chwieroth, Jose Rodriguez, and Dave Shannon. Maggios picks up six runs in the top of the second on walks, a two run double by Phil Bandini, and an Eric Beatty two run triple. Dave Shannon smokes a two run double for GF in the bottom of the third. Maggios scores four runs in the top of the fourth with triples by Brian Sassano and Shawn Thome. A lead off double by Nick Maile in the bottom of the fourth nets GF a run. Maggios bats around in the top of the sixth to get eight runs don walks and singles. Maggios out slugs the Goodfellas, 19-11.
Game 3: Vertex vs. Maggios
Derek Knightly jacks a three run homer for Vertex in the top of the first. A leadoff double by Phil Bandini nets Maggios in the bottom of the first. Vertex bats around in the top of the second to push seven runs across thanks to a triple by Derek Knightly, and a Matt Schaub three run homer. Back to back doubles by Adam Smith and Matt Schaub lead to three runs for Vertex in the top of the fourth. Singles give Maggios four runs in the bottom of the fourth. Vertex picks up three runs in the top of the seventh with Derek Knightly ripping a double. Maggios rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh, courtesy of doubles by Brian Sassano and Anthony Braciszewski, and an Eric Beatty triple. Vertex takes care of Maggios, 18-10.
Game 4: Doom Cats vs. Vertex
DC gets on the board in the top of the third with three runs. Vertex finally gets the offens on track in the bottom of the fifth with three runs thanks to a run scoring double by Dave Knightly. DC plates another two runs in the top of the sixth on singles. Vertex bats around in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead with five runs on singles. Vertex squeaks by the Doom Cats, 7-6.
