Game 1: Hambino’s vs. Randazzo’s Pizza

Hambino’s comes out firing in the top of the first, batting around and plating seven runs in a true team effort as they draw two walks and smack six singles while six different players collected RBIs. In the top of the second, they tack on two more as Mike Hilt leads off with a double, Bradd Gower drives him in with a triple, then scores on an error. Randazzo’s gets on the board in the bottom of the frame thanks to Harry Stelich who drove in Angelo Miller on a base knock. In the top of the third, Hambino’s force an error and draw a walk, the Nick Heller smacks a double to plate both runners. In the top of the fourth, a leadoff bomb from Bradd Gower helps plate two more runs as Hambino’s also see Anthony Stevens rip a double and Mark Peasley smack a triple. After a leadoff walk and two straight foul outs in the top of the fifth, Bradd Gower ropes an RBI double to complete the cycle and Mark Peasley launches a two run big fly to establish a 15 run lead. In the bottom of the fifth, Randazzo’s manage a walk, but fail to score and the mercy rule ends this game. Hambino’s wing big over Randazzo’s, 16-1.

Man of the Match: Bradd Gower (4-4, 4 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 3 RBI)


Lukens I

Game 1: Magerks vs. Baron Von Fritz

Magerks get on the board quickly in this one with a pair of runs after Brian Dayton doubled and Brian Hilbert knocked in two runs with a single. In the bottom of the second, Frankie Fusco doubled in a run to put Baron Von Fritz on the board. The next frame, Baron Von Fritz ties the game at two on Kevin Ladden’s sac fly. In the top of the fourth, Magerks takes advantage of an error and retakes the lead by a run. Jamie Kracht ripped a double to plate a run and Joe Fredrick drove in a run with a base knock as Baron Von Fritz score a pair and retake the lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Brendan Burrows starts the inning off with a leadoff double, then Craig Stewart and Jamie Kracht launch two run dingers to add four runs to their total. Magerks are held silent in the top of the seventh and the game would end with an 8-3 Baron Von Fritz victory.
