Game 1: Magerks vs. Dirt Stars

This game got underway with hopes that Magerks would have enough to take the field, but they would unfortunately end up having to forfeit. Dirt Stars get a 7-0 freebie.

Game 2: Baron Von Fritz vs. Dirt Stars

Chris Salanik cranks a solo homer in the top of the first as Baron Von Fritz draws first blood. Dirt Stars, well rested after game 1, jump right out and take the lead with two runs highlighted by a John Boyle triple. The top of the third stars with Brandon Rock reaching base on a single, then later scoring the only run of the frame for BVF, knotting the game at two. Again, Dirt Stars respond immediately by plating three runs on four singles and a double off the bat of John Boyle. Baron Von Fritz scrapes a run back in the top of the sixth; after Chris Salanik tripled, but was thrown out at home, they take advantage of an error and Craig Stewart singled in the run. The rest of the game would be quiet as far as the scoresheet is concerned. Dirt Stars squeak by Baron Von Fritz 5-3.

Man of the Match: John Boyle (3-3, 2 R, 2B, 3B, RBI)
