Quarry

Game 2: Vertex vs. Phinny’s

Vertes bats around in the top of the first to score nine runs on singles, and doubles by Mat Crowell, Matt Schaub, and CJ Snyder. Phinny’s answers with two runs in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI double by Axel Alicia. Phinny’s adds two runs in the bottom of the second. Mat Crowell rips an RBI double for Vertex in the top of the third. Back to back doubles by Chris Abato and Steve Stoneback net Vertex a run in the top of the sixth. Singles lead to three runs for Phinny’s in the bottom of the sixth. Phinny’s rallies for two runs in the bottom of the seventh. Vertex tops Phinny’s, 13-10.

Game 3: Doom Cats vs. Pigeon Boyz

Troy Wasserlebein smokes an RBI triple for DC in the top of the first. DC bats around in the top of the second to plate TWELVE runs on singles, a two run double by Chad Peterman, a Jose Rodriguez two run triple, and a two run homer by Ryan Goodman. PB gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Back to back doubles by Tom Koelzer and Troy Wasserlebein net DC a run in the top of the fifth. PB rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. The Doom Cats beat the Pigoen Boyz, 15-2.

Game 4: Silverbacks vs. Pigeon Boyz

PB starts hot in the bottom of the first with five runs on walks, and an RBI triple by Justin Miller. The Silverbacks bat around in the top of the third to score four runs thanks to doubles by Carlos Gonzalez and Ian Cuozzo, and a Jamal Covington RBI triple. PB gets seven runs in the bottom of the third with a bases loaded triple by Kevin Downs. Brandon Birkhead jacks a two run homer for PB in the bottom of the fourth. The Silverbacks bat around again in the top of the fifth to put up six runs on singles, and a two run double by Jamal Covington. PB scores another two runs in the bottom of the sixth. The Silverbacks rally for two runs in the top of the seventh. The Pigeon Boyz squeak by the Silverbacks, 16-14.

B South

Hatfield

Game 2: E’s Irish Pub vs. Hitmen

The Hitmen take the early lead in the bottom of the first with three runs on singles and an RBI double by Chris Cruz. EIP gets on the board in the top of the second with three runs on walks and singles. Nick Lang jacks a three run homer for the Hitmen in the bottom of the second. EIP bats around in the top of the third to plate six runs on more walks and singles. The Hitmen pick up five runs in the bottom of the third thanks to doubles by Chris Cruz, Dennis D’Angelo, Mark McLaughlin, and Dave Anderson, and a Pat Feliciani solo homer. The HItmen score another seven runs in the bottom of the fourth on walks and singles. Four runs cross the plate for EIP in the top of the fifth with a two run double by Chris Collins. Pat Feliciani smashes a two run homer for the Hitmen in the bottom of the fifth. The Hitmen out slug E’s Irish Pub, 21-13.

Game 3: E’s Irish Pub vs. Broad Street Bullies

EIP gets a run in the top of the first. BSB answers with a run in the bottom of the first. John Walsh smokes an RBI triple for EIP in the top of the third. A double by Derek Myers and a Chris Collins RBI triple lead to two runs for EIP in the top of the fourth. Matt King jacks a two run homer for BSB in the bottom of the sixth. RIP rallies for three runs in the top of the seventh on singles, and an RBI double by Blake Hildebrandt. BSB picks up two more runs in the bottom of the seventh with a double by Matt King. E’s Irish Pub tops Broad Street Bullies, 10-7.

Game 4: Foul Balls vs. Broad Street Bullies

FB scores four runs in the top of the first on singles, and doubles by Justin Manmde and Arik Fenton. FB adds six runs in the top of the third with singles, and doubles by George Webb, Brandon Crockett, and Justin Parloff. BSB gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the third. BSB plates two more runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a leadoff double by Keith Youse. FB picks up six more runs in the top of the six on a bunch of doubles, and a two run triple by Alex LaRosa. BSB rallies for two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Foul Balls destroys Broad Street Bullies, 21-5.

Cedar Hill

Game 4: Stiff Sox vs. Spartans

SS scores three runs in the top of the first on singles. The Spartans answer with two runs in the bottom of the first. SS adds four runs in the top of the second with an RBI double by Steve S. The Spartans pick up three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to a solo homer by Mike Jaurigue. Jay Cowan and Dave Dickerson blast back to back homers for the Spartans in the bottom of the fifth. The Spartans double up on the Stiff Sox, 14-7.

Game 3: Sticky Bandits vs. D & A Electric

SB takes an early lead with three runs in the top of the first. SB bats around in the top of the second to score four runs with a three run homer by John Mish. SB picks up three more runs in the top of the third with an RBI double by John Mish. Jared Katz smashes a solo homer for DAE in the bottom of the third. Back to back doubles by Colin Donohoe and John Weinstein lead to two runs for SB in the top of the fifth. Brendan McCoy and Mike Tersha smash two run homers for DAE in the bottom of the fifth. DAE bats around in the bottom of the sixth to get nine runs on singles, an RBI triple by Sean Cook, and an Andrew Fuller three run homer. SB rallies for four runs in the top of the seventh on walks, singles, and a solo homer by John Weinstein. In the bottom of the seventh Brendan McCoy rips the game winning single for DAE. D & A Electric beats the Sticky Bandits in walk off fashion, 17-16.
