Softballlllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Game 1: Dark Horse v One Hit Wonders

Dark Horse jumps out to a huge early lead as they plate 6 runs on 7 singles in the top of the 1st. They would extend their lead in the 2nd, on singles and a Jimmy Walker double. OHWs would eventually get on the board in the bottom of the 2nd as they scratch out a run on 4 singles. They would go on to cut into the deficit with 2 more runs in the third on singles and an error. Four more single would be the choice attack of OHWs as they would scratch out three more runs in the bottom of the 6th. Dark Horse has the answer late in this one though as they plate 2 runs in the top of the 7th and play solid D to walk away a 10- 6 winner.

Game 2: Insurance Runs v Misfits

Misfits jump out to an early lead as they get 2 runs in the top of the first via singles and a Joe Torres double. The Insurance Runs responded in a big way as they plate 6 runs in the bottom half of the first, highlighted by doubles from Seth Mattleman, Matt “the bat” Hickey, and Josh Hannum. They would extend their lead in the 2nd as this time it is big bat of Shaner connecting on a 3 run homer, combined with a Matt Freedman double helping plate four. The Misfits hammered home 3 runs in the top of the 4th to cut into the deficit on 4 singles. They would use two more isingles to add another run in the top of the 6th. CLosing the door on this one, the Insurance Runs hammer home 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning in large part due to a Josh Hannum triple, closing the door on this one as they finish the game a 14 to 6 winner.

Game 3: Ballz Deep v Amber Inn

Ballz Deep hammered home 5 runs in the 2nd highlighted by a Joe Dimezza triple and double from Adrian Reyes. They would plate 6 more in the 3rd on singles and doubles from Brain Carr and Jacob McDevitt. They continued their hot hitting in the 4th with four straight doubles from Joe Dimzza, Matt Nixon, Alex Metz and Brain Carr. The capped off their scoring four runs in the 5th via singles and another Metz double.
Amber Inn hammered home four of their own runs in the top of the first via singles and a Tom Frederick two bagger. They would tack on another via a Bruceeeeeeeee Snyder double and run in the 3rd. In the 4th and 5th inning they would hammer home two runs in each inning as four singles were the offensive appetizer of choice.
Final Score: Ballz Deep 30 - Amber Inn 8

Game 4: Ballz Deep v Yankee Clippers

Ballz Deep opens up another can of runs as they plate 5 in the 1st on doubles from Joe Dimezza, Gene Walczak and Brian Carr. They would add two in the 2nd on an Alex Metz triple. They continued the hot hitting in the 3rd as Dimezza and Carr triple and Jason Falcone doubled. They added the homer into the scoring mix in the 4th as Metx and Mcdevitt go deep helping score 9 more. Stations clearly wasn’t an option in this one as an 11 run inning highlighted by a Carr double and a Dimezza triple.
The Yankee Clippers hammered home 2 runs in the first and two runs home in the 2nd each by way of 5 singles. Four singles plated 3 more runs for IR in the 4th. They would cap their scoring in the 5th with singles plating two more runs.
Final Score: 30-10

As some teams have clearly emerged as legit contenders, it will be exciting to see who pulls ahead in the coming weeks and makes the push for a championship and to move up to the A division (maybe)
