Game 1: Doom Cats vs. Vertex

Vertex takes an early lead with two runs in the bottom of the first. Chad Peterman smokes an RBI triple for DC in the top of the second. DC adds another run in the top of the third. A leadoff triple by Dave DeStephanis nets Vertex a run in the bottom of the fourth. All tied up at three, we head to extra innings. Mat Crowell steps to the plate in the bottom of the eighth to knock in the game winning run. Vertex takes the first game in walk off fashion, 4-3.

Game 2: Vertex vs. Doom Cats

Vertex scores two runs in the top of the first on singles. A double by Chad Peterman helps DC get on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. A leadoff double by Troy W nets DC a run in the bottom of the fourth. DC bats around in the bottom of the sixth to put up eight runs with doubles by Zach Martin, Jon Poore, Shane Huntback, and Jimmy Craig. The Doom Cats take the second game, 10-2.

Game 3: Doom Cats vs. Vertex

DC takes an early lead with two runs in the top of the first. Matt Schaub rips a two run double for Vertex in the bottom of the first. DC bats around in the top of the third to plate six runs on walks and singles. Vertex adds another run in the bottom of the third. Jon Poore smokes a double to help DC get three runs in the top of the fourth. Vertex rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh on singles. The Doom Cats take the third game, 14-10, and the fall title. Congrats!

Game 1: Legends vs. Cifellis

Cifellis takes the early lead in the bottom of the first with two runs in the bottom of the first. Walks help Legends get on the board with two runs in the top of the second. Blake Hildenbrandt rips an RBI double for Cifellis in the bottom of the third. Pat Feliciani smashes a solo homer for Legends in the top of the fourth. Legends adds three more runs in the top of the fifth. Cifellis pushes four runs across in the bottom of the fifth with doubles by Toby Loleman and Bob Fleming. Cifellis wins the first game, 9-7.

Game 2: Cifellis vs. Legends

Cifellis scores six runs in the top of the first thanks to doubles by Toby Coleman, Pat Masterson, and Rob Worthington. Legends gets on the board with a run in the bottom of the second. Cifellis gets two more runs in the top of the third. Nick Lang smashes a grand slam for Legends in the bottom of the third. Dennis D’Angelo smokes a solo homer for Legends in the bottom of the fourth. Five runs cross the plate for Cifellis in the top of the fifth on waks, singles, and a double by Blake Hildenbrandt. Toby Coleman and Sam Ryan jack back to back homers by Cifellis in the top of the sixth. Cifellis doubles up on Legends, 16-8, to win the second game and the B South fall title. Congrats!
