The Wild Wild West "Fall" Edition WEEK 1...

Hatricks (A) vs. Jackhammers (H)

A slow start to the week as the scoring wouldn't start until the bottom of the 2nd inning as the Jackhammers plate 2 on singles and a error. The 3rd inning Hatricks USED PATIENCE and a Josh Graef triple to score 5 runs off of 4 walks. The Hammers squeak another unearned run by in the bottom of the 3rd to make it a 5-3 game after 3. Hatricks slide one into the DMs in the top of the 4th but the Jackhammers retake the lead in the bottom of the 4th after Gene Lyall's leadoff double and Glen Hipple squirts a single in to score 2. 7-6 Jackhammers headed to the 5th inning. Hatricks take advantage of 5 walks, 2 errors and a Jim Blum TRIPLE to score 10 runs in the 5th to put this one away. The Hammers would add 4 to their total in the 6th but it wouldn't be enough.

Bird Gang (A) vs Sons of Pitches (H)

Another game with a really slow start as only 1 run crossed the plate in the 1st two innings as Brett drove in his brother Josh with a double in the 1st for Sons of Pitches. In the 3rd inning both teams woke up! James McLaughlin and Joey Pittman go BACK TO BACK for 3 runs in the top of the 3rd. Sons of Pitches respond with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning as Dylan Brooks smokes a double to do the most damage. 5-3 Sons of Pitches after 3. Sons of Pitches adds more on in the bottom of the 4th with a power surge of their own, Josh K and Dylan Brooks crush Home Runs as Brett K adds a double to score 4 more runs 9-3 Sons of Pitches. Bird Gang needed a rally and they got it batting around to tie the game scoring 6 runs off the backs of the McLaughlin brothers Jason doubles and another BIG JIM homer. 9-9 after 5! A triple by Justin Huber with another Jason Mclaughlin double leads to 2 more runs by the Bird Gang but Sons of Pitches answered a Dylan Brooks continues his tear with another double, Joe Giampietro brings him and Matt F home with a double tying the game at 11! The 7th inning was not shy of fireworks as the Bird Gang exploded for 11 runs in the 7th alone 4 HUGE errors cost the Sons of Pitches dearly as the Left Center Fielder really struggled. Sons of Pitches attempted a rally but too little too late as they could only plate 4 in the bottom of the inning as Dylan Brooks continued to rake with his 4th extra base hit of the game.

Players of the Game - Big Jim Mclaughlin was 4-5 with 2 HR's for the Bird Gang and Dylan Brooks was 4-5 with 4 extra bases hits including a HR.

Wild Fire (A) vs MaGerks (H)

Wild Fire score 2 runs in the top of the 1st as Chris Amendolia doubles as him and Hector score. MaGerks answers back with 2 off of an error and 3 singles. Wild Fire adds another crooked number in the 2nd off of 4 singles and a Dave Archer double to score 5 runs, they add another in the 3rd unearned off of 2 errors. MaGerks woke up the sticks in the bottom of the 3rd batting around to score 6 runs, a double by Captain Molloy and a Triple by the SCHUBBBBB were the big blows of the inning. 8-8 after 3! Wild fire scores 1 in the 4th and MaGerks takes the lead in the bottom of the 4th scoring 2 as Steve Walker Texas Ranger doubles. 10-9 MaGerks. Wild Fire squeezes another one across in the top of the 5th but MaGerks stretches the lead even more scoring 4 more as Richieee Houser doubles and Dave Cohee smashes a ball to knock in 2 but he was taking a runner. 15-11 MaGerks after 5. Torres does what Torres does starting another inning with a single as him and Chris A score to cut the lead in half. MaGerks goes quietly.. The 7th down 2 runs with the bottom of the order up for Wild Fire, Matt Kiesling doubles to start the inning and rally, after 2 singles and a FC to TIE the game the 2nd out is made, but Hector Torres does what Hector Torres does... and gets on base AGAIN 5-5 scoring the go ahead run that was knocked in by Chris Amendolia who was also 5-5! MaGerks goes quietly AGAIN to end the game.

Players of the Game would have to be Hector Torres and Chris Amendolia who were both 5-5 ... When your top 2 are 10-10 that creates huge issues for the other team.

MaGerks (A) vs HG Coal Fired Pizza (H)

MaGerks gets a double from Jim MOXY Malloy knocking in 2 runs to start game. HG on the Super Bowl hangover starting slow in the 1st but they wake up in the bottom of the 2nd as they sc ore 4 runs with the big blow being a Jay Stein 3 run smash! 5-2 HG after 2 innings. MaGerks gets 1 closer in the top of the 3rd and Brendan Parker answers scoring one with a leadoff double 6-3 HG after 3. MaGerks explodes in the 4th inning batting around scoring 6 with an error than 4 straight singles before Will Clark sends them all home with a bases clearing triple! The other Parker brother Andrew cuts into the lead in the 4th with a Triple and scoring on his brothers single. 9-7 Magerks after 4. MaGerks gets 2 more in the 5th scoring from walks and singles and HG fails to answer. MaGerks plates 4 more in the 6th off of 2 errors, 2 walks and 2 singles. Self inflicted wounds cause the most damage! 15-7 MaGerks headed to the bottom of the 6th where HG tried to climb back into the game scoring 3 as Ken Stein doubles in a few but it wasn't enough as MaGerks held on.
