Week 3 of the WILD WILD WEST

HG Coal Fired Pizza (A) vs Jackhammers (H)

Jackhammers start the scoring in the bottom of the 1st with 5 singles and 2 walks to plate 5 runs! HG would try to respond with 2 in the top of the 2nd coming from singles and walks. Tom Finn with a big double in the bottom of the 2nd sparking a 5 run inning to take a 10-2 lead. HG went silent again in the 3rd but the Hammers kept on chugging with 6 more runs, a double by BIG Z was the big blow of the inning. Jackhammers has been putting it on teams using small ball. HG down 16-2 facing a mercy rule finally woke up in the 4th scoring 5 runs off of singles and a big double by Matt Messina. 16-7 after 4 as HG would finally get a shut down inning. Zach Lydal with a big 2 run home run in the 5th to stretch the lead to 18-7.. HG would once again attepmt a rally scoring 5 more as the Parker boys have back to back doubles, up against the clock, need a shut down inning HG would allow a BB, 1B and a 3 run home run to Tom Lyden and the game was called due to time.

Hattricks (A) vs Sons of Pitches (H)

Hattricks bat around in the 1st scoring 6 runs Kris Cassel with a 2 run triple and John Scott and Josh Graef both double'd in runs. Sons of pitches would get 2 back in the 1st off of a couple singles. Hattricks would continue to pour on batting around again in the 2nd with BACK TO BACK TO BACK Home Runs by Basil, Josh and Kris! John Scott would double in another as Hattricks led 14-3 after 2 innings. Back to Back doubles by Dylan Brooks and Matt Fronheiser would lead to a run for Sons of Pitches in the 3rd. Sons of Pitches would get back in the game in the 5th with 6 straight hits including back to back doubles by Dylan and Brett! 14-8. Hattricks sensing the game was getting closer woke the bats back up from a 3 inning nap and added 5 more in the 6th The Big Hurt Frank Murray with a double as the big blow of the inning. Down 19-8 in the bottom of the 6th against the clock Brett Keszczyk crushed a Grand Salami to make the score look closer but it was all Hattricks in this one.

Hattricks (A) vs Bird Gang (H)

Hattricks start strong with 5 runs in the top of the 1st off of singles, Bird Gang answers with 4 as Justin Huber leads off with a double and gets brouhg around with singles. 5-4 after 1. Hattricks again gets 6 more in the 2nd with singles and a huge triple from the Big Hurt Frank Murray. Bird Gang responds again with 5 more all off of singles. 11-9 Hattricks after 2. The McLaughlin boys have back to back doubles in the 4th to take the lead 12-11. Hattricks answer in the 5th with 4 runs, a double by Josh Graef and a HUGE Triple by Jim Blum give Hattricks a 15-12 lead. Bird Gang has an phenomenal 6th inning led by BIG JIM crushing a 3 run homer, Joey Pittman his protection in the lineup crushes a double also. Hattricks go quietly in the 7th.

MaGerks (A) vs Wild Fire (H)

Both teams scape together a run in the 1st inning. Bill Shubert smashes a double to help Denny Nickelson around the base. Tom Orlando squeezes through in the 3rd for Wild Fire. 2-2 After 2 innings. MaGerks puts something together in the 4th a Jeff Tongue starts the inning with a double, Captain Jim Malloy doubles in another and MaGerks scores 5. Wild Fire attempts to get some back as Matt Kiesling doubles in one and scores on a single. Blaze helps MaGerks respond with a double and scoring on another Tongue hit. The Amendolia's account for 2 runs as Dave Archer triples in both! 8-6 MaGerks after 5.. MaGerks pitcher must have started to fire fast balls because he recorded 3 K's in the next two innings as MaGerks holds on.
