Game #1 – Philly’s Phinest vs. Dirty Dozen

Both teams come out slow as they score one apiece in the first inning. Dirty Dozen takes the lead in the second getting a run on a hit from Kevin Harrigan and an error later in the inning. Dominic Rocks and Mike RocksJr. Smash RBI doubles in the third as they are able to take the lead for the first time in the game. That was short lived as Dirty Dozen grabs the lead back in the bottom of the inning. Jaden Newman had a two run double and Harrigan added a solo shot. Dirty Dozen explode in the fifth for six more runs. Colin Tosti starts it with an RBI single, followed by a John Erb RBI triple, Jaden Newman RBI double and Todd Gibson RBI single. Dominick Rocks tries to help with an RBI triple to get Philly back into the game, but it will not be enough. Dirty Dozen win 14-7.

Player of the Game:
Jaden Newman (Dirty Dozen) – 2/3, 2 2B’s, 3 RBI’s

Game #2 – Palz vs. Philly’s Phinest

Philly looks to get started faster in this one as they jump out to a 3-1 lead early. Mike Rocks Sr. and John Quartallo have RBI singles in the first. Palz get going big time in the third as they bat around and score 12 total runs in the inning. Casey Long and Ryan Makonecz have two run singles in the inning. Walks also hurt Philly in the inning. They get five runs back in the bottom of the inning, thanks to a RBI triple from Mike Rocks Jr. and a couple singles from Mike Rocks Sr. and Nick Quartell. This game gets out of control in the fifth as Palz bat around again and push another nine runs across the plate. Again walks and singles do the damage for Palz. In the end, Palz overpower Philly as they will drop both games in their doubleheader. Palz win 26-9.

Player of the Game:
Mike Rocks Jr. (Palz) – 2/2, BB, 3B, RBI

Game #3 – Dirt Stars vs. Hambinos

Kevin McNamara gets this one going smashed a deep fly ball which leads to a sac fly. Hambinos wait until the second and they push five runs across. They get RBI singles from Specer Slutsky, Matt Good, Pat Tobin and Pat McCardle. Nick Heller also added an RBI double in the inning. Defense starts to dominate the game as both teams hold each other down until we get to the fifth where Dirt Stars push four runs across. McNamara was back at it again, this time with a two run single. Hambinos tie it in the bottom of the inning with a RBI single from Pat McCardle. Hambinos grab the lead again in the sixth as they step up and deliver. Matt Schairk had a two run single and Bill Peters and Pat Tobin add RBI singles as well. Hambinos put up a fight as McNamara grabs two runs on a two run double. Dan Owens also adds a RBI single, but that is as close as they get, to within a run. Hambinos win 10-9.

Player of the Game:
Matt Good (Hambinos) – 4/4, 4 1B’s

Game #4 – SCLSU Mud Dogs vs. Amber Inn

Mud Dogs and Amber Inn must have dipped their bats in something hot as both teams get going quick out of the gate. Mud Dogs start it with nine runs after sending 15 batters to the plate. Trevor Lane started it with a three run bomb, Chris Refsnider knocked in two with a two run single and Matt Greever netted two runs on a two run double. Amber Inn really exploded in the bottom of the inning as they bat around three times and score a whopping 15 runs. Walks were a problem in this one as Amber was issued 11 walks total in the inning. Mark McKinney cleared the bases with a triple and Carl Ervin added a two-run single as well in the effort. More of the same from Amber Inn in the second as Mud Dogs continue to issue walks and it continues to hurt them. Mud Dogs try to stay in the game as their bats continue to help. Charlie Hooker smashes a Grand Slam in the second to help them stay in this one. John Fine adds a RBI double later in this game for Amber Inn. Mud Dogs keep their offense rolling late as well. Matt Greever clears the bases on a triple and Hooker, for the second time in the game, smashes a Grand Slam. Unfortunetly, Amber Inn steps up to the plate in the fifth needing one run to win the game. Walks end up being the dagger as Bryon McMackin draws a walk with the bases loaded to take the game. Amber Inn win 26-25.
