Game 1: Phinny’s vs. Pigeon Boyz

Phinny’s takes the early lead with two runs in the top of the first. Back to back doubles by Bill Stone and Justin Miller net PB two runs in the bottom of the first. Phinny’s bats around in the top of the second to plate six runs thanks to a two run double by Alex, and a Derek Strowhouer two run triple. PB picks up three runs in the bottom of the second thanks to an RBI double by Justin Miller. Chris Morgan smokes a two run triple for Phinny’s in the top of the third. Brandon Birkhead jacks a two run homer for PB in the bottom of the fourth. Jarrett Kerns rips a two run triple for Phinny’s as three runs cross the plate in the top of the sixth. PB adds three runs in the bottom of the sixth, courtesy of back to back RBI triples by Mike Testa and Brandon Bozak. Phinny’s bats around in the top of the seventh to get seven runs with a three run homer by Derek Strowhouer. Phinny’s beats down the Pigeon Boyz, 23-11.

Game 2: Phinny’s vs. Vertex

Phinny’s gets a run in the top of the first. Jarrett Kerns rips a three run double for Phinny’s in the top of the second. Vertex bats around in the bottom of the second to plate five runs on singles. Vertex pushes three runs across in the bottom of the fourth with a two run double by Steve Stoneback. Axel Alicea jacks a three run homer for Phinny’s in the top of the fifth. Matt Schaub smashes a two run homer for Vertex in the bottom of the sixth. Axel blasts his second homer of the game, a solo shot, for Phinny’s in the top of the seventh. Vertex tops Phinny’s, 14-8.

Game 3: Doom Cats vs. Silverbacks

DC gets on the board with three runs in the top of the second. The Silverbacks bat around in the bottom of the second to score seven runs on singles, and a three run triple by DJ Ellars. DC adds three runs in the top of the fourth. DC takes the lead with four runs in the top of the seventh with an RBI double by Tom Koelzer. The Silverback rally for a run in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an RBI double by Rob McKenna. The Doom Cats get by the Silverbacks, 13-10.

B South

Lukens I

Game 2: Stiff Sox vs. Sticky Bandits

SS plates a run in the top of the first. SB answers with three runs in the bottom of the first on singles. SB gets six runs in the bottom of the second on singles, and a Pat Downey two run homer. SS adds two runs in the top of the fourth on singles. SS plates four runs in the top of the fifth with singles. SB bats around in the bottom of the fifth to pick up ELEVEN runs on singles, an RBI double by Nick Ryan, and a John Mish two run triple. The Sticky Bandits destroy the Stiff Sox, 22-7.

Game 3: Foul Balls vs. E’s Irish Pub

Blake Hildebrand jacks a solo homer for EIP in the bottom of the first. FB plates two runs in the top of the second. Arik Fenton jacks a three run homer for FB in the top of the third. EIP picks up four runs in the bottom of the third. Back to back to back doubles by Pete Corrigan, Justin Mahmoe, and Arik Fenton net EIP three runs in the top of the fifth. EIP bats around in the bottom of the fifth to score eight runs on walks. EIP bats around again in the bottom of the sixth to add eight more runs with doubles by Mike Van Fossen and Tom Collins. Pete Corrigan rips a bases loaded triple for FB in the top of the seventh. E’s Irish Pub out slugs Foul Balls, 21-13.

Game 4: Broad St. Bullies vs. Hitmen

The Hitmen take the lead with two runs in the bottom of the first. The Hitmen pick up six runs in the bottom of the second on walks and singles. BSB gets on the board with two runs in the top of the third thanks to a two run double by Frank Piccone. BSB adds four runs in the top of the fourth. The Hitmen get five runs in the bottom of the sixth on singles. BSB bats around in the top of the seventh to plate five runs thanks to doubles by Bryan Renn, and Ryan McAvey. The Hitmen rally in the bottom of the seventh for a run with Mark McLaughlin getting the game winning hit. The Hitmen walk it off against the Broad St Bullies, 14-13.

Hatfield

Game 4: Spartans vs. D & A Electric

Dave Dickerson jacks a three run homer for the Spartans in the top of the first. DAE bats around in the bottom of the first to plate nine runs on walks, singles, and a three run double by Dan Weismuller. Jay Cowan smashes a three run homer for the Spartans in the top of the second. Back to back doubles by Mike Javrigue and Jay Cowan lead to five runs for the Spartans in the top of the fourth. Brendan McCoy and Eric Schwab blast homers for DAE in the bottom of the fifth. The Spartans add six runs in the top of the sixth thanks to a three run double by Chris O’Neill and a Dave Dickerson two run homer. The Spartans and D & A Electric tie, 18-18.
