A Division

Quarry

Game 1: Pigeon Boyz vs. Silverbacks

PB gets a run in the top of the first. PB bats around in the top of the second to plate six runs on singles, and an RBI double by Brandon Birkhead. PB bats around again in the top of the third to score seven runs on singles. The Silverbacks get on the board with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Mike Bitterlich jacks a solo homer for PB in the top of the fifth. Pigeon Boyz take down the Silverbacks, 17-1.

Game 2: Silverbacks vs. Dirty Dozen

DD takes an early lead with three runs in the bottom of the first. A leadoff double by Jim Lalley leads to three runs for DD in the bottom of the second. Dave P rips a two run double for the Silverbacks in the top of the third. Mike Ivers laces an RBI double for DD in the bottom of the third. A Sean Taylor triple helps DD net a run in the bottom of the fifth. The Silverbacks rally for a run in the top of the seventh as Rob McKenna smokes a double. Dirty Dozen beats the Silverbacks, 9-3.

Game 3: Dirty Dozen vs. Doom Cats

DC gets on the board with two runs in the bottom of the second. Alex Freeman blasts a three run triple for DD in the top of the third. Jon Poore jacks a grand slam for DC in the bottom of the third. DD puts up seven runs in the top of the fourth thanks to doubles by Alex Freeman, Jim Lalley, Casey L, and Todd G. DC bats around in the bottom of the fourth to to score nine runs thanks to back to back to back homers by Jose Rodriguez, Jon Poore, and Matt Hatch. DD rallies for two runs in the top of the seventh on doubles by Sean T and Ross A. The Doom Cats squeak by Dirty Dozen, 15-14.

Game 4: Vertex vs. Doom Cats

Vertex gets four runs in the top of the first thanks to an RBI triple by Steve Heath, and a Pat Kelly two run homer. Jon Poore jacks a two run homer for DC in the bottom of the first. Vertex bats around in the top of the second to plate TWELVE runs with doubles by Steve Heath, Pat Kelly, Mat Crowell, and Bill Brancato. DC plates six runs in the bottom of the third thanks to a triple by Jose Rodriguez, and another two run homer by Jon Poore. Vertex adds three runs on singles in the top of the fourth. Jon Poore blasts his third two run homer for DC in the bottom of the fourth. Vertex bats around in the top of the sixth to score six runs on walks, and a two run double by Mat Crowell. DC bats around in the bottom of the sixth to score FOURTEEN runs as homers fly out of the field. Troy Wasserman knocks a two run homer, Jose Rodriguez blasts two, Jon Poore smashes his FOURTH and FIFTH homers of the game! Vertex beats the Doom Cats in an absolut slug fest, 30-29. This game belongs to Jon Poore as he sets sn SBA record with FIVE HOMERS in one game! Congrats!

Lukens III

Game 4: Bird Gang vs. The Swingers

Jason and James McLaughlin smash back to back solo homers in the top of the first. James McLaughlin smashes a three run homer for BG in the top of the second. Matt Bachman rips an RBI triple for TS in the bottom of the second. Back to back doubles by Mike McDevitt and Anthony Ciliberto net BG three runs in the top of the third. Singles net TS five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Doubles by Joey Pittman and Mike McDevitt, and a James McLaughlin homer lead to three runs for BG in the top of the sixth. TS rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. Bird Gang tops The Swingers, 17-9.

B South

Lukens I

Game 1: Jackhammers vs. Mafia Madmen

The Jackhammers bat around in the top of the first to score seven runs on walks and singles. Dan Jensen rips an RBI double for the Jackhammers in the top of the second. MM gets on the board in the bottom of the second with two runs. Ryan Gluck blasts an RBI triple for the Jackhammers in the top of the third. Three runs cross the plate for the Jackhammers in the top of the fourth thanks to an RBI triple by Dan Jensen. The Jackhammers make quick work of Mafia Madmen, 17-2.

Game 2: Mafia Madmen vs. Harrigans

MM scores four runs in the top of the first thanks to doubles by Joe Mennino and Andy Snyder. Harrigans answers with five runs thanks to RBI triples by Kyle Simms and Justin Hoches. Harrigans bats around in the bottom of the third to plate with a leadoff triple by John P. MM plates another run in the top of the fourth. Harrigans bats around in the bottom of the fourth to score twelve runs thanks to doubles by Kyle Simms, Brian O’Donnell, and Jim Vorhauer, and a John P grand slam. Harrigans destroys Mafia Madmen, 27-6.

Game 3: Mud Dogs vs. Harrigans

MD bats around in the top of the second to score nine runs on singles. Three runs cross the plate for MD in the top of the third thanks to a Brian Figueroa double, and a Josh Figueroa solo homer. Harrigans finally gets on the board in the bottom of the sixth with a run. Harrigans rallies for four runs in the bottom of the seventh on singles. The Mud Dogs beat Harrigans, 12-5.

Game 4: Mud Dogs vs. Hitmen

MD takes the early lead with two runs in the top of the first. The Hitmen answer with two runs in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI double by Pat Feliciani. MD bats around in the top of the third to plate five runs on singles. MD bats around again in the top of the fifth to push seven runs across on singles. Mark Bond jacks a solo homer for the Hitmen in the bottom of the sixth. The Hitmen rally for four runs in the bottom of the seventh with a three run homer by Nick Lang. The Mud Dogs top the Hitmen, 17-7.

Cedar Hill

Game 3: The Naturals vs. Spartans

The Spartans take the early lead in the bottom of the first with three runs thanks to back to back doubles by Matt Welsh and Brian Kosik. A leadoff double by Mike Maha nets the Spartans a run in the bottom of the second. TN bats around in the top of the fourth to plate six runs on walks, and a two run double by Andrew Masciotonio. The Spartans push four runs in the bottom of the fourth with doubles by Jay Cowan and Jeff Rivera. TN bats around again in the top of the fifth to get four runs on singles, and a two run double by Eric Pincus. Bob Engle smokes a two run double for the Spartans in the bottom of the fifth. Five runs cross the plate for the Spartans in the bottom of the sixth with RBI doubles by Jeff Rivera and Kevin Cush, and a George Webb two run triple. The Spartans get by The Naturals, 15-10.

Game 4: Spartans vs. Vikings

The Spartans plate seven runs in the top of the second with doubles by Matt Welsh, Mike Mahan, Jeff Rivera, Kevin Cush, and Keith Adams. Matt Welsh smokes an RBI double for the Spartans in the top of the third. The Vikings bat around in the bottom of the third to put up six runs thanks to a two run double by Matt Myseo. Matt Welsh blasts a grand slam for the Spartans in the top of the fifth. The Vikings bat around again in the bottom of the fifth to get nine runs with a two run triple by Matt Myseo. Back to back RBI doubles by Matt Welsh and Brian Koski lead to four runs for the Spartans in the top of the sixth. The Vikings rally for six runs in the bottom of the sixth on walks and singles. The Vikings out slug the Spartans, 21-20.
