Game 1: Vertex vs. Silverbacks

Vertex plates two runs in the top of the second. The Silverbacks answer with a run in the bottom of the second. Vertex puts up five runs in the top of the third thanks to doubles by Steve Heath, Mat Crowell, Bill Brancato, Dan Cymerman, Chris Abato, and CJ Snyder. A double by DJ Ellars helps the Silverbacks get two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Sean Nonemacher and Chris Abato smoke two run doubles for Vertex in the top of the fifth. A leadoff triple by DJ Ellars nets the Silverbacks a run in the bottom of the sixth. Vertex downs the Silverbacks, 14-6.

Game 2: Dirty Dozen vs. Silverbacks

Alex Freeman rips an RBI double for DD in the top of the first. The Silverbacks answer with six runs in the bottom of the first on singles, and a DJ Ellars RBI double. Doubles by Alex Freeman, Connie G, and Todd G lead to four runs for DD in the top of the fourth. Singles net DD two runs in the top of the fifth. A double by Shawn Rush helps the Silverbacks put up two runs in the bottom of the sixth. DD rallies for two runs in the top of the seventh with doubles by Alex Freeman and Mike Ivers. A sac fly by Jake M drives in the winning run for the Silverbacks in the bottom of the seventh. The Silverbacks walk it off over the Dirty Dozen, 10-9.

Game 3: Dirty Dozen vs. Bird Gang

Singles net BG three runs in the bottom of the first. A double by Connie G helps DD pick up a run in the top of the second. BG adds two more runs in the bottom of the second with a double by James McLaughlin. John McGranahan rips an RBI double for BG in the bottom of the third. Nate smashes an RBI triple for DD in the top of the seventh. Bird Gang tops Dirty Dozen, 7-2.

Game 4: Doom Cats vs. Bird Gang

BG bats around in the bottom of the first to score five runs thanks to doubles by James McLaughlin and Anthony C. A double by Jason McLaughlin helps BG push two runs across in the bottom of the second. DC gets on the board in the top of the third with three runs thanks to a Troy Wasserman double. BG scores four more runs in the bottom of the fourth on singles, and a leadoff double by James McLaughlin. Bird Gang downs the Doom Cats, 11-3.

Game 3: Swingers vs. Pigeon Boyz

The Swingers get a run in the top of the first. PB bats around in the bottom of the first to score six runs on walks and singles. Two runs cross the plate for PB in the bottom of the third thank to a double by Mike Gilbert, and a Justin Miller leadoff triple. Ben Razzi blasts a three run homer for the Swingers in the top of the fourth. PB picks up three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Pigeon Boyz gets by the Swingers, 11-5.

B South

Hatfield

Game 1: Jackhammers vs. Harrigan’s

The Jackhammers bat around in the top of the first to score ELEVEN runs on singles, and RBI doubles by Rob Wardrop and Dan Jensen. Harrigan’s answers with four runs in the bottom of the first thanks to a John Procopio RBI double. Evan G rips a two run triple for the Jackhammers in the top of the fourth. Phil McKusker jacks a solo homer for Harrigan’s in the bottom of the sixth. The Jackhammers add two insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Harrigan’s rallies for two runs in the bottom of the seventh on singles. The Jackhammers take down Harrigan’s, 16-7.

Game 2: Jackhammers vs. Mud Dogs

Singles net the Jackhammers two runs in the top of the first. The Jackhammers plate six runs in the top of the third thanks to a two run double by Ryan Hamilton, and an Evan G RBI triple. A leadoff double by Ryan Gluck nets the Jackhammers two runs in the top of the fifth. Three runs cross the plate for the Jackhammers in the top of the sixth. MD finally gets on the board in the bottom of the sixth with two runs on singles. MD rallies for a run in the bottom of the seventh. The Jackhammers beat the Mud Dogs, 16-3.

Game 3: Vikings vs. Mud Dogs

Jake Gladish smashes a three run homer for the Vikings in the top of the first. MD answers with two runs in the bottom of the first. Jake Gladish blasts a solo homer for the Vikings in the top of the fourth. Nick Ryan launches a two run homer for the Vikings in the top of the fifth. MD bats around in the bottom of the sixth to push TEN runs across thanks to doubles by Josh Figueroa, Brian Figueroa, and Jim Kullman. The Mud Dogs top the Vikings, 12-8.

Game 4: Mafia Madmen vs. Spartans

Singles lead to four runs for MM in the top of the first. A leadoff triple by Matt Welsh nets the Spartans a run in the bottom of the second. Four runs cross the plate for MM in the top of the fourth on singles. Another Matt Welsh triple leads the Spartans to a run in the bottom of the fourth. Jay Cowan smashes a two run homer for the Spartans in the bottom of the fifth. MM adds three insurance runs in the top of the seventh on singles. MM doubles up on the Spartans, 12-6.

Game 1: The Naturals vs. Hitmen

The Hitmen plate five runs in the bottom of the first with a two run triple by Mike Burns. TN gets on the board with a run in the top of the second. A triple by Geoff Faden nets TN a run in the top of the third. Pat Feliciani smokes a two run homer for the Hitmen in the bottom of the third. Dennis D’Angelo rips a solo homer for the Hitmen in the bottom of the fifth. Five runs cross the plate for the Hitmen in the bottom of the sixth thanks to an RBI double by Matt Y, and a Chris Cruz solo homer. The Hitmen make quick work of The Naturals, 14-2.
