Game 1: Philly’s Phinest vs. Dirty Dozen

In the top of the first, Philly’s Phinest jump out to a two run lead thanks to Ray Rocks and Ed Rocks each driving in a run on a single and double, respectively. They tack on another one in the top of the second without recording a hit, then Tyler Hancock ripped a double in the bottom of the third to help plate two more. Dirty Dozen get on the board in the bottom of the third, plating seven runs after forcing two errors, poking four singles, getting doubles from Kyle Landis, Mike Ivers, and Derek Kreyenhagen, and a triple from James McHale. In the top of the fourth, Philly’s Phinest retake their lead on a walk, an error, and four singles as they score three runs. Kyle Landis led the bottom of the fourth off with a double and later scored on a sac fly, knotting this game at eight. In the bottom of the fifth, Mike Ivers and Nick Vitelli smack back to back doubles, pushing three runs across the dish for Dirty Dozen. Philly’s Phinest get an RBI double off the bat of Valentino Mendez in the top of the sixth, scoring one and whittling their deficit down to two. Game 2: Baron Von Fritz vs. Dirty Dozen

They tack on one run in each of the fourth and fifth innings highlighted by Tony Montvydas launching a triple. In the bottom of the fifth, Dirty Dozen get back to back triples from James McHale and Todd Gibson, followed by a Kyle Landis double on their way to plating four runs and cutting their deficit to one. Chris Salanik and Dan Keith provide doubles for Baron Von Fritz in the top of the sixth, scoring three runs and establishing a four run lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Kyle Hutter and Ben Vitelli start the inning off with doubles and a sac fly helps Dirty Dozen tally a pair of runs. Down two in the bottom of the seventh, Dirty Dozen trade their second out for a run on a fielder’s choice, then draw a walk to set up Ben Vitelli’s game winning two run single. Dirty Dozen defeat Baron Von Fritz by the slimmest of margins, winning 11-10.

Man of the Match: Ben Vitelli (3-4, 2 R, 2-2B, 3 RBI)
