Game 1 – MaGerks at Hambinos
In the bottom of the first, Hambinos jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with Mark Corpora and his 2-out double leading the way.
Jimmy Malloy doubled to kick off the top of the second for MaGerks, helping his team to knot the score at 2 before Mark Peasley blasted a Grand Slam for Hambinos in the third, taking back the lead 6-2.
MaGerks cut the deficit to 1 in the fourth as Denny Nicholson blasted a 3-run homer, but then Matt Cohen bombed the ball out of the park for Hambinos in the bottom half, extending the Hambino lead back to 8-5.
In the bottom of the sixth, it was Matt Lyke’s RBI double that helped add 2 insurance runs for Hambinos, giving them a 10-5 lead.
MaGerks took their licks in the seventh, down by 5, looking to rally. Despite getting 2 runners on base, it wasn’t meant to be.
Final Score: Hambinos 10 MaGerks 5
Player of the Game: Mark Peasley only went 1 for 4, but that one was the eventual game-winner. He finished the game going 1 for 4 with a homerun, 4 RBIs and a Run Scored.

Game 2 – Jackhammers at Hambinos
This game was the tale of two games…plus an overtime!
In the first half, it was all Jackhammers. Rob Wardrop smacked an RBI double in the first as his team put up an early 4-spot. The Hambinos stole 2 back in the third, but then the Jackhammers scored 1 in the fourth, thanks to Kevin Fim’s double, and 2 in the fifth, thanks to Glen Hipple’s double, to regain a 7-3 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, the game tilted the other way, as Mark Peasley sacrificed himself for a run, and then in the sixth, Hambinos exploded. 4 singles, 2 walks, and a key double from Mike Hilt erased the 3-run deficit and actually gave Hambinos a 3-run lead!
Then it was up to the Jackhammers to come back, which they did in the seventh thanks to Tom Finn’s RBI double, tying the score and sending this one to extras.
In the extra frame, Mike Wadsworth singled in the courtesy runner, Vince Morgan doubled in Wadsworth, and Brian Pestridge sacrificed himself to get Morgan across the dish to grab a 3-run lead.
Looking to come back once more, Hambinos couldn’t get the job done.
Final Score: Jackhammers 13 Hambinos 10
Player of the Game: Matt Cohen went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, an RBI and a Run Scored.

Game 3 – Hattricks at Expendables
Josh Graef got things going early for Hattricks with a double, as his team scored 2 in the inning. Then Ray Brittingham and Joe Kindt hit back-to-back doubles in the bottom half to tie the score for the Expendables.
Hattricks took control in the second and third as Josh Graef blasted a 3-run homer in the second and Collin Murray kicked off the third with a triple, as Hattricks scored 10 in those 2 innings combined.
In the sixth, already leading 12-7, Basil Papanicolopoulos hit a solo homer as Hattricks stole 2 insurance runs, and then they went off in the seventh to put this one out of reach. Basil Papanicolopoulos doubled, Frank Murray tripled, Josh Graef tripled, and Tyler Roetman doubled en route to another 6-run inning, putting the proverbial nail in the coffin.
Final Score: Hattricks 20 Expendables 10
Player of the Game: Josh Graef hit the cycle! He went 4 for 6 with a double, triple, and homerun, including 4 RBIs and 4 Runs Scored.

Game 4 – Hattricks at Randazzos
Josh Graef contributed an RBI double in the top of the first, giving Hattricks an early 4-0 lead in what would end up being an ugly, ugly game. Brandon Crockett doubled for Randazzos in the bottom half, helping to half the score at the time.
In the second, it was Graef again, once more with an RBI double, as Hattricks scored 3 more. Randazzos would steal 2 more runs thanks to 2 walks, closing the gap to 7-4, but this would be as close as it’d get.
In the third, Hattricks had a run of a double (Basil Papanicolopoulos), double (Frank Murray), homerun (Josh Graef), double (Tyler Roetman) – and then 3 more doubles later in the same inning by Basil Papanicolopoulos, Roetman and Collin Murray! They scored 13 in all, giving them a commanding 20-4 lead.
Looking to put the game away early, Tyler Roetman again smacked an RBI double, helping his team to score 4 more, taking a 20 run lead in the fourth. Randazzos needed just 1 run to keep it going, but they had no fight left, going down 1-2-3 in the bottom half.
Final Score: Hattricks 24 Randazzos 4
Player of the Game: Josh Graef went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, a homerun, 5 RBIs and 4 Runs Scored.
