Game 1 – Expendables at Jackhammers
This one might as well have been the Chiefs and the Rams, as points were aplenty.
6 walks helped the Expendables to put up 6 runs in the top of the first before Tom Lydon doubled for the Jackhammers, helping to steal 2 runs back in the bottom half. Bill Moore doubled in the second, helping the Expendables to score 3 more, bringing the score to 6-5.
But in the third, the Expendables went off again. This time, 3 walks and 7 singles amounted to 8 runs, giving them the 14-5 lead.
The Jackhammers wouldn’t go quietly, though. Brian Pestridge doubled and Tom Finn tripled in the fourth as the Jackhammers scored 9 of their own, tying the score at 14!
But the Expendables had one more big inning in them, using 8 singles and a clutch triple from Bill Larkin to score 8 more, putting all the pressure on the Jackhammers to come way back again in the bottom of the sixth. They could not, and this one ended early due to time.
Final Score: Expendables 24 Jackhammers 14
Player of the Game: Bill Larkin went 2 for 5 with a triple, 4 RBIs and 2 Runs Scored.

Game 2 - Randazzos at Hambinos
In the bottom of the first, Mark Peasley put Hambinos up 1-0 with his RBI double.
A pair of errors helped Randazzos to tie it in the third before Tony Stevens’ RBI single nudged Hambinos ahead 3-1 in the bottom half.
Anthony Miller kicked off the fourth with a homer for Randazzos as they tied the score at 3 before Mike Mulvihill’s RBI double took the 4-3 lead back for Hambinos in the bottom half.
Randazzos took their first lead in the fifth as Justin Mahmide smacked a 2-RBI double. In the sixth, they extended their lead to 7-4 with a trio of singles.
By the bottom of the seventh, the Hambinos found themselves in need of some late-game magic. 2 straight singles followed by back-to-back doubles from Matt Lyke and Spencer Slutsky tied the score at 7, and then Mark Peasley’s RBI single knocked in the game-winning run with 2 outs in the inning.
Final Score: Hambinos 8 Randazzos 7
Player of the Game: Mark Peasley went 2 for 4 with a double, 3 RBIs and a Run Scored.

Game 3 – Expendables at Hattricks
The Expendables jumped out to a huge lead in this one. In the first, a trio of singles and a walk amounted to 4 runs. Then in the third, it was a triple from Bill Larkin and a double from Pete Donnelly doing the damage, tacking on 3 more runs for an early 7-0 lead.
But in the bottom of the third, Hattricks started their comeback. Back-to-back doubles from Basil Papanicolopoulos and Collin Murray, a triple from Josh Graef and a homer from Ron Gallagher cut the Expendable lead to 7-6.
In the fifth, it was a Tyler Roetman triple giving Hattricks their first lead of the day, 9-8.
And then in the bottom of the sixth, Basil Papanicolopoulos hit a double and Collin Murray an RBI triple as Hattricks tacked on 4 insurance runs.
The Expendables had 3 outs to go and a 5-run deficit to overcome…and couldn’t get the offense started again.
Final Score: Hattricks 13 Expendables 8
Player of the Game: Collin Murray went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple, 3 RBIs and 2 Runs Scored.

Game 4 – Hambinos at MaGerks
4 singles and a pair of walks added up to 5 runs in the top of the first for Hambinos, giving them a nice little cushion to work with in this one.
The teams traded runs in the second as Mark Peasley doubled for Hambinos and Jimmy Malloy tripled for MaGerks. They then traded 2-run innings in the tird as Matt Cohen doubled for Hambinos and MaGerks played some small ball.
Up 8-4, Mark Peasley extended the lead to 5 with his solo homer in the fourth for Hambinos and then Nick Heller added his own solo diner in the seventh to make it 10-4.
Looking to come all the way back, MaGerks got 2 men on before Jeff Tongue singled and scored one. But that was all they could muster.
Final Score: Hambinos 10 MaGerks 5
Player of the Game: Mark Peasley went 2 for 4 with a double, homerun, RBI and 2 Runs scored.

The Hattricks and Hambinos are headed to the championship!
