Game #1 – Winding Brook Farms vs. Wackers

Wackers grab an early lead scoring one run each in the first and the second inning. Bill Brancato helped with an RBI single. Farms take the lead in the top of the third grabbing three runs off RBI singles from Bob Garges, Keith Bellinger and Ryan Garges. Wackers immediately take the lead back in the bottom of the inning with sac flys from both Bill Brancato and Erik Szostak. Nick C ties the game for Farms with a sac fly of his own as we stand at 4-4 after four innings. Farms get an RBI single from Bellinger as they take a lead in the fifth. They extend that lead to three after a two run single from Samantha Altmiller. Farms really take advantage in the seventh as they send another five runs across. Tom Eggito had a clutch two run single in the inning. Wackers look to fight back in the bottom of the seventh putting a rally together and getting back to back RBI doubles from Constantine Geordadis and Carman Brancato. Gene Walczak then smacks a two run triple and Brancato an RBI single to bring them to within two. That’s as close as they could get as Farms lock down defensively. Farms win 12-10.

Andy’s grab another seven runs in the second inning thanks to RBI singles from Ron Pulli, Lightkep, Mike Koz, Jason Ashworth, and Cybok. Jason Pane also added with a two run single in the inning. More of the same came in the third as Andy’s add eight more runs thanks to a bunch of RBI singles again. Everyone in the lineup was getting involved in the inning. Cuzzo ends this one early in the fourth with a bases clearing double as the game ends due to mercy rule. Andy’s win 23-3.

Jason Ashworth paces their scoring in the second blasting off a homer in the woods at quarry to help push a five run second inning breaking this game open early to 11-0. Blue Dog really continues at the plate as they are getting all of the unlucky breaks in this one not able to push any runs across.
