Game #1 – Blue Dog vs. Bry-Lex

Blug Dog takes an early 1-0 lead grabbing the first run of the game from an Ed Reynolds RBI single. They grab two more runs in the top of the second with back to back RBI singles from Bob Kolecki and Dave McDonald. Bry-Lex respond in the bottom of the inning getting two runs off singles and an error. After Blue Dog grabs a run off an RBI double from Jason Robinson, Bry-Lex scores two to tie it. Doug Moninghoff had a RBI double and Ryan Hines had a sac fly. Bry-Lex stay hot at the plate and push another two runs across in the fourth from an RBI single from Jenna Bundy and hit from Sue Kerr. More of the same in the fifth as Bry-Lex grabs three runs this time. Nick DiPaolo had an RBI double and Lowell Snyder smacked a two run single. They put the game away in the sixth inning thanks to a game sealing three run bomb from Doug Moninghoff. Bry-Lex wins 15-6.

Game #2 – Sons of Pitches vs. Carroll’s Jewelers
Pitches start this game off with a two run triple off the bat of Carl Motts. A batter later, CJ Motts smacks a single to drive him in. Carroll’s respond with a three run bomb to tie the game and then take the lead with an Ali Theis RBI single. Both teams grab two runs in the second. Lauren Duchette and Justin Ruth had RBI singles for Pitches and Ray Patano had an RBI single for Carroll’s. Carl Motts grabbed another run from a sac fly and a couple of batters later, Chris Edgar leaves the field with a two run bomb. Back and forth we go as Carroll’s get three runs in the third. Ali Theis stayed hot at the plate with another RBI single. This game goes back and forth until the fifth when Chris Edgar smacks another bomb. This time it was a three run shot. Jon Motts also added a two run triple in the inning as well as a Carl Motts RBI double. Carroll’s grab five runs over the final three innings to help keep this game tied. We would stay tied at the end of the seventh and that’s how this one would end.

Game #3 – Andy’s vs. Dug Out Demons

Andy’s take a 3-0 lead after Jason Ashworth puts the first ball he sees into the Quarry woods. A couple of batters later, Adam Lightkep smacked an RBI single. Demons get three runs back off a sac fly from Kevin Roche, RBI single from Evan Porter and RBI walk from Katie Wiley. Demons add another six runs in the second getting RBI singles from Sean Przychowicz and Evan Porter as well as a two run double from Roche. Jason Ashworth goes deep again for Andy’s in the third to help cut into the lead but Andy’s still trail by three runs after four. Rob Lyons helps spark a two run fifth for Demons with an RBI single to push their lead to five. That is quickly cut into as Andy’s fight back for three runs in the top of the sixth. Mike Koz and Lightkep had the RBI’s in the inning. Andy’s would go down in the final inning without any runs and would fall short in this one. Demons win 11-9.

Game #4 – Dug Out Demons vs. Roos

Demons try to continue from their previous game and get two runs in the first inning. Roos respond with five runs in the bottom of the first. Anthony Crawford started the scoring with a two run double, followed by a Steph Farrar RBI single and Jesse B RBI double. Roos get three more runs in the second from a Crawford sac fly, Jeremy Villano RBI triple and Dave Cunningham RBI double. Demons start their comeback in the third getting a three run bomb from Kevin Roche. A couple of batters later, Greg Thompson nets them a run on a RBI triple. RBI doubles from Crawford and Cunningham push Roos lead back to 11-7. Demons quickly comeback again grabbing four runs in the sixth, with big help coming from a bases clearing triple from Evan Porter. Jake Blums smashes a two run bomb in the bottom of the sixth and that ends up being the difference in this one. Roos win 14-11.
