Game #1 –Andy’s vs. LA Pools

Andy’s get the game started with a Warren Grant two run double. Mike Koz follows that up with a double of his own, pushing another run across. Chris Hesdon adds a RBI walk a couple of batters later to give them the early 4-0 lead. Pools cut that in have with an RBI single from Greg Lavin and RBI walk from Joan Glass. Grant gets right back to work in the second inning with a three run bomb in the woods. Greg Lavin responds to that in the bottom of the inning with a two run single. Pools have a big inning in the third as they bat around and score six runs. Greg Rielly and Ray Patano had two run singles and Linda Dart and Krissy Bartynski had RBI walks in the inning. Andy’s fight back to get six runs over the next couple of innings getting a big two run double from Brittany Ullman and two run single from Koz. Andy’s ramp up their gloves and hold the Pools scoreless over the next couple innings. Andy’s put the game away putting up 15 runs across the sixth and seventh innings. Koz kept a hot bat sending a three run bomb in the quarry and Danielle Buzin and Hesdon added two run hits as well. Andy’s win 28-10

Game #2 – Andy’s vs. Carroll’s


Andy’s starts Game 2 of their doubleheader with four runs continuing on their success from game one. Jeff Uter started it with and RBI single and Grant, Jason Pane and Tom Mason add RBI’s in the inning as well. RBI singles get those runs right back as Carroll’s takes the 5-4 lead after one. Back to back RBI’s from Kyle Gallagher and Bryan Bart give Carroll’s a 7-4 lead. That is followed by a Mike Zahradnick RBI double heading to the third. Andy’s fight back to tie with an RBI single from Jeff Uter, RBI double from Koz and two run single from Mason. Back and forth we go as we remained tied in the fourth at 12-12 after a two run homer from Grand and two run single from Bart. RBI singles from Bob McClintok and Terry Leach give Carroll’s a one run lead in the bottom of the fifth with the score 14-13 after five innings. Pane gets the lead back for Andy’s with a two run single which is followed by a Mason RBI double. Hesdon also adds a RBI single a couple batters later to give them the 17-14 lead. Gallagher blasts a moonshot into the quarry in the bottom of the inning, but that is the last run Carroll’s are able to push across in this one. Andy’s win 18-15.

Game#3 – Blue Dog vs. Wackers

Dave Gers starts this game off with a three run bomb in the top of the first to give Blue Dog a 3-0 lead. Bill Orth and Janice Tansits add RBI hits later in the inning to push that to six. Wackers immedietly respond with eight runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Todd Gibson and Angelo Vitantonis stat the scoring for them with back to back two run doubles followed by a Veronica Geyer RBI double. Emily Gibson and Gene Schwendeman add RBI’s later in the inning. E. Gibson adds another RBI in the bottom of the second which pushes their lead out to 11-7 after two. Roth and Tansits give Blue Dog two more runs in the top of the third, but again that is answered by three in the bottom of the inning for Wackers. Joe Murray and T. Gibson add the runs for Wackers. Wackers really break this game open in the bottom of the fourth pushing seven runs across. Matt Bookheimer and Vitantonis knock in RBI doubles and Katie Cherba, T. Gibson, Gerye and Gene Schwendeman add RBI singles in the inning. Wackers open their lead to 21-10. Blue Dog brings the game all the way back as they get on a scorcher streak themselves and tie the game up in the fifth. They send 17 batters to the plate and score 11. Gers had a two run triple and Tansits, Hensler, Nelson and Kolecki all help with RBI’s in the inning. Gene Schwendeman stepped to the plate in the bottom of the plate and knocked a RBI single to break the tie and ultimately win the game as the time would run out in this high scoring thriller. Wackers win 22-21.

Game #4 –Wackers vs. Dug Out Demons

Wackers try to add continue their after their walk off win and get an RBI triple out of T. Gibson to help take a 2-0 lead. Demons have other plans as they jump out quickly and get seven runs in the bottom of the inning. Zach Martin started the scoring with an RBI single and that is followed by a Nick Mancini RBI walk, Jenn Sevitski two run triple and Alex Elmore RBI single. Eddie Haddle responds for Wackers with an RBI double to get it to 7-3. Mancini doubles that and more in the bottom of the inning for Demons as a two run single extends their lead to 10-3. More the same for Demons across the third and fourth innings as they push across five and four runs respectfully. Martin had an RBI double and two run bomb, Steve Berry added a two run bomb and Nick Mancini added two singles for two more runs. A Jon Poore three run bomb in the fifth inning put this game away early as we reach the run rule Demons win 23-6.
