Hatfield – Game 1

Maize vs Sons of Pitches

The Maize took the early lead scoring 1 in the 1st on a walk and double by Ryan Garges, 1-0 Maize. There was no score in the 2nd in the 3rd the Sons of Pitches scored 1 on a Jon Motts double and a single, 1-1. In the 4th the Sons of Pitches bats got on track scoring 4 runs on 6 singles, to take a 5-1 lead. In the 5th the Maize got back on the board scoring 1 on 3 singles but the Sons of Pitches did 3 better scoring 4 runs on 5 hits including a triple by Dan Geiger and double by Kevin Fink, 9-2 Sons of Pitches. In the 6th the Sons of Pitches put the game away scoring 10 runs, the big hits 3 run Homers by Jon Motts and CJ Motts, and the Sons of Pitches win this one 19-2.


Hatfield – Game 2

New Age vs Sons of Pitches

New Age opened the game scoring 2 runs on a walk and 3 singles, the Sons of Pitches scored 7 runs, the big hits were a 2 run base clearing triple by CJ Motts, double by Carl Motts and 3 run Homer by Danny Hinchcliff, 7-2 Sons of Pitches after 1. In the 2nd the Sons of Pitches added to their lead scoring 2 runs on 4 singles, 9-2 Sons of Pitches. In the 3rd the Sons of Pitches continued to add to their lead scoring 6 runs on 7 hits, including a double by Dan Geiger 15-2 Sons of Pitches. In the 4th The Sons of Pitches scored 1 run on 4 singles to make it 16-2 Sons of Pitches. In the 5th New Age got back on the board scoring 5 runs the big hit a Grand Slam Homer by Cory Thomas to make it 16-7 Sons of Pitches after 5. In the 6th both teams were hitting, New Age scoring 4 runs on a solo Homer by Jim Kennedy and a 3 run Homer by Mike Freidman, the Sons of Pitches also scored 4 runs on 6 hits including a double by CJ Motts and went on to win this one 20-11.


Hatfield – Game 3

New Age vs Blue Dog Tavern

New Age started the game scoring 1 run on 2 walks and 2 singles, Blue Dog scored 3 runs on a walk and 4 singles, 3-1 Blue Dog after 1. In the 3rd Blue Dog added to their lead scoring 2 on a Jason Robinson 2 Run Homer, 5-1 Blue Dog. In the 4th inning New Age took the lead scoring 6 runs on 4 walks and 3 hits including a 2 run double by Christine Courchan, 7-5 New Age. New Age added to their lead in the 5th scoring 5 runs on 3 walks and 4 hits including a double by Cory Thomas, Blue Dog scored 1 on 2 hits including a double by Jason Robinson, 12-6 New Age. The bats were quiet in the 6th. In the 7th Ne Age scored 4 runs the big hit a base clearing triple by Alex Peterson, and Blue Dog scored 1 on 2 hits and New Age wins this one 16-7.
