Game #1 –LA Pools vs. Dug Out Demons

Greg Lavin starts the scoring in this one for Pools with an early RBI single followed by a two run single from Larry Wagner a couple of batters. Later. Demons answer with a massive bottom of the inning as they send 19 batters to the plate and demolish 14 runs in the inning. Zach Martin and Jon Poore start it with back to back triples followed by a Julie Wambold two run double. Alex Elmore, Bryan Peterman and Steve Berry all add RBI singles before Martin and Poore come up again with a three run single and two run bomb respectfully. Both teams grab one more run in the second inning as we sit at 15-4 after two innings. RBI singles rock the third inning as Demons grab six more runs to make it a 21-4 game. Poore, Nick Mancini, Jenn Sevitski, Sean Przychowicz, Elmore, Martin and Peterman all grab RBI’s in the inning. This game gets out of hand early and ends due to mercy rule. Demons win 24-4

Game #2 – Wackers vs. Bry Lex

Bry Lex comes out strong in the first couple innings grabbing five runs early. Cody Miller starts the scoring with a RBI single followed by a two run single by Kerry Donahoe. Miller was back at it in the second inning grabbing a two run single in the second. Wackers come out strong and tie this game in the top of the third. Todd Gibson knocks a two run double, Angelo Vitantanio added a RBI double and Mike Kelly smacks a RBI single. Defense shuts down both teams in the fourth. Vitantonio smashes a three run homer to open up the fifth and to give Wackers the lead. Veronica Guyer and Gene Schwendeman had RBI hits in the inning as well. Back and forth we go as Bry Lex comes out fighting in the bottom of the inning. Jenna Bundy starts it with a RBI single and Miller continues to go nuts smashes a two run single bring them to within 3. Colin Donohoe breaks that problem as a Grand Slam in the sixth gives Bry Lex the lead heading into the last inning. Mike Kelly ties the game with an RBI double and two more hits from Geyer and Eddie Haddle gives them a four run lead. The previous innigs hero steps up again as he hit a two run single to tie the game, after already pushing two runs across. After a hard faught battle, this game ends in a tie.

Game#3 – Roos vs. Sharks

The third game of the night starts with a Dan Cymerman RBI double and John Shuemaker RBI single giving Roos a 3-0 lead out the gate. Sharks answer in the bottom of the inning with a run. After Roos score one in the third, Sharks grab four in the bottom of the inning to take a 5-4 lead. Glen Hipple and Adam Kopfinger had RBI hits and Tom McCarthy added a two run single. Defense shuts down fourth for both teams before another outburst by Sharks in the bottom of the fifth, this time for six runs. Joe Sharp had a two run single and Kopfinger, McCarthy and Jeff Pierce had RBI’s as well. McCarthy adds another two run single in the bottom of the sixth as Sharks extends their lead out to 15-4 heading to the last inning. Back to back to back RBI singles from Dan Wehlau, Dan Cymerman and Angie Wehlau spark Roos late, but it’s not enough as they will fall in this one. Sharks win 15-7.

Game #4 –Carrolls Jewelers

The last game of the night opens up with three runs from both sides in the first. Kevin Shinkunas and John Zeits had RBI hits as well as a sac fly from Bryan Bart for Carrolls. Warren Grant started the scoring for Andy’s with an RBI single and Chase Luxton had a two run single. The game remains tied until the bottom of the third when Andy’s break it with a RBI single from Grant. Carrolls quickly take that over as they get a couple runs from errors followed by a Steve DiGiavoni RBI single. Kelly Neil gets the lead back down to two after her RBI single for Andy’s. Carrolls have another big inning getting four runs on a solo bomb from Kyle Gallagher, RBI single from Kelly Gallagher and two run single from Bob McClintock. Andy’s come all the way back in the fifth with seven runs. Uter started it with a RBI triple with Mike Koz and Luxton also adding RBI triples in the inning. Tom Mason capped off the inning with a two run homer giving them a 12-11 game. Grant and Jay Pane pad the game in the bottom of the sixth to pushing their lead out to five. Carrolls can’t get anything going and will fall in this one. Andy’s win 16-11.
