Game 1 – LA Pools vs. Andy’s

Andy’s get the scoring started in this game as with a two run single from Mike Koz followed by a two run single from Chris Hesdon to take an early 4-0 lead. Defense really shuts down the game in both the second and the third innings as each team can only manage to score one. Ray Patano had an RBI single for Pools and Jason Pane had a sac fly for Andy’s. Pools tack on two more in the top of the forth getting an RBI walk from Rich Reinheimer and sac fly from Greg Reilly. Andy’s start to command this game in the bottom of the inning as they are able to break open five more runs. Adam Lightkep and Warren Grant had RBI singles and Chase Luxton added a two run triple. Pools would only be able to manage one more run the rest of the game getting an RBI on a Linda Dart hit. Andy’s would continue to add runs late grabbing a two run homer from Lightkep as they would win easy in this one. Andy’s win 15-4.

Game 2 – Roos vs. New Age

Roos grab two early with a John Shoemaker RBI single as well as a Dan Wehlau hit. New Age answers immediately getting RBI’s from Coty Thomas and Josh Warden. Roos open the lead back up again to four in the second with a RBI sinlge from Doug Farrer, RBI from Jake Blum and two run single from Tom Montvydas. New Age matches that in the third as they get four of their own. Jim Kennedy had a two run single, Warden knocked a sac fly and Mark Mound had an RBI single. Both teams are shut down with good defense in the four making this a tied 6-6 game heading to the sixth. Roos break that tie getting an RBI in top of the fifth. Alex Peterson answers that with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth. New Age takes the lead in the bottom of the sixth as they get RBI singles from both Warden and Mike Friedman. Roos answer one back in the top of the seventh, but it wouldn’t be enough. New Age wins 9-8.

Game 3 – Carroll’s vs. Roos

Carrolls grab a 5-0 lead early after getting an RBI double from Kyle Gallagher and RBI sinlges from Bryan Bart and Linda Luscombe. John Zeits also added an RBI with a sac fly. Carrolls get right back to work in the second as they get four more on RBI singles from Gallagher and Bart as well as a sac fly from Mike Zhardinack. Roos finally answer in the third pushing five of their own across. Montvydas started it with a sac fly and Angie Wehlau added a two run single. The fifth inning is big for both teams as Carrolls starts it by putting up six runs. They got RBI’s from Greg Lesher, Kevin Shinkunas, Gallagher and Bart as well as a two run single from Terry Leach. Roos gets seven runs in bottom of the inning getting a two run triple from Jake Blum, a Montvydas RBI double, and Doug Farrer two run single. Carrolls get a couple insurance runs in the seventh with a Kevin Shinkunas two run single to put this game away as Roos can’t put any more across. Carrolls win 21-18.

Game 4 – Dugout Demons vs. Carroll’s

The last game of the night starts up with a Zack Martin RBI double, Jon Poore sac fly and Nick Mancini RBI single. They back that up with a five run second getting a Bryan Peterman solo home run, Poore RBI single Erb two run triple and Mancini RBI single. After Carroll’s go down again in the second inning, Demons come out for another five in the third breaking this game open to 13-0. Lauren Wood had an RBI single, followed by a Martin RBI double and Poore two run single. Carroll’s finally get on the board in the third pushing three runs across. Joslyn Tomlinson got it started with a RBI single, followed by a Steve Giovanni sac fly and Lesher RBI single. Mike Zharsnack and Linda Luschombe add RBI’s in the next inning to bring the game to 13-5. Mancini knocks a couple more runs for Demons in the sixth and Demons bat around for eight more runs in the seventh to really put this game out of reach. Poore smashes a grand slam in the inning to solidify his game. Demons win 25-7.
