Hatfield – Game 1
Sons of Pitches vs Blue Dog Tavern
The Sons of Pitches started the game with hot bats, batting around and scoring 6 runs on 7 hits in the 1st , including doubles by Dan Geiger, Jon Duchette, 6-0 Sons of Pitches. Blue Dog got on the board in the 3rd scoring 1 run on a walk and 2 hits, 6-1 Sons of Pitches. In the 4th the Sons of Pitches got their bats going again scoring 5 runs, the big hit a Danny Hinchcliff 3 run Homer, 11-1 Sons of Pitches. The Sons of Pitches put the game away in the 5th and 6th, scoring 4 in the 5th the big hit Danny Hinchcliff’s 2nd 3 run Homer, then scoring 5 in the 6th to win this one 20-1.
Hatfield – Game 2
Bry-Lex vs Roos
The Roos got on the board 1st scoring 2 runs in the 1st on a Tom Montvydas 2 run Homer, 2-0 Roos. In the 2nd Bry-Lex got on the board scoring 2 runs on 4 hits, 2-2. In the 3rd Bry-Lex took the lead scoring another pair of runs on an error and 2 hits, including a double by Doug Morninghoff, 4-2 Bry-Lex. The bats were quiet until the 5th when the Roos got back on the board scoring 4 runs, 1 on a sac fly and 3 runs on a Dan Wehlau 3 run Homer, the Roos retake the lead 6-4. In the 6th Bry-Lex got their bats going scoring 3 runs on a sac fly and 4 hits, including a double Lowell Snyder, and Bry-Lex retakes the lead 7-6 and goes on to win this one 7-6.
Hatfield – Game 3
Maize vs New Age
The Maize opened the game scoring 4 runs on a walk and 5 hits, the big hits a double by Christian Hazlett and 3 run Homer by Gary Kleinschmidt, 4-0 Maize. In the 2nd the Maize scored 1 run on 3 hits, 5-0 Maize. The Maize added to their lead in the 3rd scoring a pair of runs on 4 singles and a fielder’s choice, New Age got on the board scoring 1 run on 3 hits and a sac fly 7-1 Maize. In the 4th the Maize kept their bats going scoring another pair of runs on a walk, error and 2 singles, 9-1 Maize. The 5th inning New Age got back on the board and rallied scoring 4 runs on a walk and 4 hits including a double by Alex Peterson, 9-5 Maize. In the 7th both teams scored 1 run and the Maize wins this one 10-5.
