Game #1 – Wackers vs. Andy’s

Angelo Vitantonio starts the scoring in this one with a sac fly followed by a Mike Kelly RBI single. Andy’s go down in the bottom of the order without any runs starting off cold early. They quickly get over that and have a much extended 2nd inning pushing 15 runs across. The scoring was started by a Danielle Buzin two run double and Kris Smedley RBI walk. Jeff Uter and Mike Koz smashed RBI singles a couple batters to continue the hitting. Adam Lightkep and Jay Pane also added RBI triples in the inning to make it a 15-2 game after a couple of innings. Wackers keep up their composure as they get another RBI single from Mike Kelly to make it a 15-3 game. Across the next couple of innings Wackers add two more runs to get the game to 15-6. Andy’s come out in the bottom of the fifth looking to end this one early and successfully do so. Lightkep and Koz both smash two run bombs in the inning and they win easy in this one. Andy’s win 21-6.

Game #2 – Dugout Demons vs. Bry Lex

Demons come out shooting in this one as they send everyone to the plate scoring five runs right out the gate. Ted Peck started them with a two run moonshot into the woods and Sean Przchowicz and Bryan Peterman added RBI’s in the inning. Bry Lex answers quick getting three of their own on a bases clearing double from Lowell Snyder. Martin and Poore start off the second for Demons with a RBI triple and RBI single respectfully and a couple of batters later Nick Mancini smashes a two run double. Bry Lex again comes back at them pushing three runs across and getting a two run single from Shawn Pfleger. Poore continues to connect and launches a two run bomb to push Demons lead to 12-6 after three innings. Demons continue to rake at the plate and in the fourth grab six more runs. Steve Berry, Martin and Steph Thrasher had RBI singles and Ted Peck added an RBI double. Bry Lex get five back over the next couple innings with RBI’s from Snyder, Pfleager and Cody Miller to pull the game to 22-11 heading to the last inning. Demons grab two insurance’s run in the top of the seventh and that would be enough as Bry Lex can’t get any more across in this one. Demons win 25-11

Game#3 – Carrolls Jewelers vs. Sharks

Our third game of the nights starts up with a five run first for Carroll’s. Bryant Bart, Linda Luscombe, Krysten Marinelli and Mike Stacey all have RBI singles in the inning. After Sharks go down with no runs, Carrolls come up again and grab two runs on a John Zeits two run single, Sharks finally get on the board in the bottom of the third, starting up with RBI singles from Steve Reichling and Ed Doyle and then another on a Joe Sharp hit. Carroll’s blow this game open in the fifth where they extend their lead to 15-4. Kevin Shinkunas, Bart and Kelly Gallagher had RBI singles and Bob McClintock added a two run single. Sharks would continue to struggle in this one and can only manage to push five runs across. Carrolls add a couple late in the game and win this game pretty easily. Carroll’s win 18-5.

Game #4 –LA Pools vs. Roos

Greg Lavin and Mike Cianfichi start the game off for Pools with RBI singles as they take an early 4-0 lead over Roos. Roos cut that in half as Dan Wehlau smacks an RBI single and then Dave Cunningham gets a RBI double. Lavin and Cianfichi again continue to hit well as they get two more RBI’s in the second to again push their lead up to four. Roos tie the game up in the bottom of the fourth getting back to back RBI doubles from Jake Blum and Tom Montvydas as well as RBI singles from Wehlau and John Shoemaker. Both teams get two runs across the fourth and fifth innings. Montvydas had a two run sac fly for the Roos. Pools, only holding a one run lead heading to the seventh, grab four more runs and extend their lead to 13-8. Ray Patano had a two run single and Cianfichi added another RBI. Cunningham tries to get Roos back in the game with an RBI single, but the Roos would fall short in this one. Pools win 13-9.
