Hatfield – Game 1

Sharks vs New Age

The Sharks smelled blood, starting the game with a 6 runs on 8 hits, and a sac fly to take a 6-0 lead. In the 2nd the Sharks scored 1 run on 2 hits and a Sac Fly and New Age got on the board on a Homer by Jim Kennedy, 7-1 Sharks. The bats were quiet until the 4th when New Age rallied banging out 6 hits, and scoring 5 runs, the big this were doubles by Alex Peterson, John Pierotti, Mike Friedman and a 2 run Homer by Jim Kennedy, 7-6 Sharks. The Sharks rallied in the 5th scoring 4 runs on 6 hits, the big hit a double by Tom McCarthy, 11-6 Sharks. In the 6th New Age scored 1 run on 2 singles and a double by Cory Thomas to make it 11-7 Sharks. In the bottom of the 7th with 2 out New Age rallied scoring 3 runs on 5 hits but it was not enough and the Sharks win this battle 11-10.

Hatfield – Game 2

New Age vs The Maize

The teams came out swinging, New Age scoring 4 runs, the big hits doubles by Alex Peterson, Jim Kennedy and a 2 run Homer by Cory Thomas, the Maize scored 2 on 5 singles and a Sac Fly, 4-2 New Age. New Age added to their lead in the 3rd scoring 3 runs on singles and a double by Cory Thomas and then batted around in the 4th scoring 6 runs, the Maize scored 1 run, 13-3 New Age. New Age put the game away in the 6th batting around and scoring 5 runs to win this one 18-3.

Hatfield – Game 3

Roos vs The Maize

The Maize took the lead scoring 2 runs in the 1st on a 2 run Homer by Christian Hazelett, then scoring 2 in the 2nd on a walk, error and 2 hits, 4-0 Maize. In the 3rd the Roos got on the board batting around and scoring 5 runs, the big hits a double by Jake Blum, triple by Dan Wehlau, the Maize scored 2 runs on a Ryan Gargas 2 run Homer, 6-5 Maize. In the 4th the Roos tied the game on a Jake Blum Homer, 6-6. In the 5th the Maize regained the lead scoring 2 runs on singles and a 2rbi double by Ryan Gargas, 8-6 Maize. In the 6th the Roos scored 2 runs the big hits a double by Jake Blum and 2 rbi single by Tom Montvydas, the Maize scored 1 on 2 hits and a sac fly, 9-8 Maize. In the 7th the Roos scored 1 run on a couple of hits to tie the game and the game ended in a 9-9 tie.
