Game #1 – Windy Brook Farm vs. Blue Dog Tavern

Windy Brook starts the game with with back to back doubles to get on the board first. Gary Klenschmidt knocks in Ryan Garges with an RBI single a couple of batters later to put them up 2-0. Blue Dog responds quickly knocking in four runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. Mark McCouch Sr. started it with an RBI triple followed by RBI singles from Jason Robinson and Bill Roth. Windy Brook hangs a six spot in the second inning getting RBI singles from Garges, Nick Chiaverio and Michelle Eggito as well as a two run triple from Tom Eggito. Blue Dog matches in the bottom of the second as they send five runners across with most of the damage coming from a Dave McDonald three run bomb. Blue Dog grabs one more run in the third to keep a two run lead heading into the fourth. Blue Dog really start to pull away in the fourth. After Windy Brook grabs one run back, Blue Dog scores 6 six runs thanks to RBI singles from McCouch, Reynolds, Rodriguezs, Douglas and Tansits. This proves to be too much in this one. Blue Dog wins 16-12.

Game #2 – Blue Dog vs. New Age
Game two starts with Blue Dog getting on the board first with a Jason Robinson RBI hit. New Age comes out strong in the bottom of the inning and gets three runs with RBI singles from Trevor Lane, Mark Maund and Shane Ardito. New Age almost bats around in the second and gets another six runs. Brandon Bozek started the scoring with a two run double followed by a two run single from Josh Warden. Later in the inning, Maund gets them another two runs as they open their lead to 9-3. Blue Dog tries to find life in the fourth with more singles as they net three more runs. New Age answer that immediately in the fourth and fifth as they continue to get runs every inning. Blue Dog tries to mount a comeback in the later innings getting RBI’s from Robinson and Paul Hensler, but it would end up being too little too late. New Age wins 15-9.

Brandon Bozek (New Age) – 3/3, BB, 2B, 2 RBI’s



Game#3 – Roos vs. Gooey Batters

Roos start the last game of the night with a bang as they send 18 batters to the plate before even recording an out. Jake Blum and Anthony Crawford started it all with back to back RBI doubles followed by four straight RBI walk’s. Tom Monvydas and Jeremy smack two run singles before Steph Farrar steps to the plate and delivers a bases clearing triple. Later in the inning Montvydas delivers a two run homer as Roos score 21 runs in the first inning. After Gooey goes down without any runs in the bottom of the inning, Roos come back up again with their fire hot bats and cruise through another inning, this time pushing seven runs across to make this a 28-0 game. This game ends up ending early as singles and errors lead to another big inning as Roos cruise in this one. Roos win big.
