Game One: Cale’s Pale Ales v. Just Food

The Cale crew got a huge first inning after having 10 men cross the plate. Kevin Raymond was 2-2 in the inning with 2 runs scored. TJ Ohnthrop tripled and scored in the 5th as Cale’s had 12 going into the 7th.

Just Food had their inning in the 5th. Here they would push 11 men across the plate highlighted by run-producing doubles from Rick Schmidt and Chris Manion. After 7 innings of play, we were all knotted up at 12.

In the 8th, Kevin Raymond padded his rbi total for the game with a HUGE 2-run single helping to take a 3-run lead.
But Just Food had a chance as well. Consecutive doubles from Pete Auteri, David Iatarola and Mike Casber led to a walk off win with Mike getting the walk off knock. Just Food in a thriller, 15-14.


Game Two: Beers v. Pitches Be Crazy

PBC produced majority of their offense in the 3rd. Of the total 11 runs they scored, 8 came in this frame. Defensive miscues also helped, but Chad Wood had a double, and Brian Hughes drove in one with a run of his own. They pushed a run across in the final three innings; Alex Freeman with a decent game: 3-4 with 2 singles, a double and 2 runs scored.

Once again, PBC benefiting from shoddy defense. Ryan Maley hit a 2-run bomb in the 2nd and scored twice in the game. Ryan Calabro drove in two in the 4th, and Rich Acierno scored three times. Beers plated 13 and took this game.


Game Three: Team Horsham v. Da Beers

As has been the theme all night, Team Horsham explodes for a big inning in the 1st. Vic Pantalano drove in 2 with a single and Brett Saverio capped the scoring with a 2-run double. Horsham plated 9 in the 1st. Mike Bobrin tripled home a run in the 2nd and later scored and doubles by Jarrett Pendergrast and Mike Bobrin led to 2 more run in the 4th. Horsham scored 14 times.

Six errors helped Da Bears have a night but so did 3-5 effort from Robert Knox who scored 3 times and tripled home 2 in the 2nd. Kyle Lockard was 3-4 with 4 ribbies and coming just a HR short of the cycle. Da Bears pushed 17 men across and took this game.



Game Four: Mike’s Bar & Grill v. Vertex

Matt McReynolds had himself a night with a 4-4 performance which included a 2-run triple in the 4th inning. Matt went on to score two times. Dave Shannon also had a decent night going 3-4 with 2 singles, a double, 2 runs scored and 2 rbi. Tony Stewart singled home the 6th run in the 4th inning helping Mike’s plate 11 for the game.

But this game was all Vertex. Scoring in every inning and capping the night with a 9-run 6th…Vertex plated 25. Matt Crowell with an rbi triple in the 1st, Matt drove in 2 with a sac fly in the 2nd, Mike Bitterlich with a solo blast in the 3rd, Shane Hanna drove in 2 with a double in the 4th, Keith Crowell with a run scored in the 5th and 2-run doubles by Tom Rider and Frank Staber in the 6th led the offensive explosion.
