Here we are with week two highlights from the Tuesday Night men's slate.

Game One:

Dookie Brewster v. HG Coal Fire Pizza
Dookie squad put 3 runs on the board in the first inning which was quickly matched by the Pizza crew’s 4 runs of their own. The Pizza guys could only deliver two more runs the rest of the way after Tyler Cohen & Brendan Parker scored. Pizza with 6 on the board.

Brewster boys got going in the 3rd after Jarred Gardner doubled to start the inning on way to 4 more runs. Joe Horchuck tripled home a run in the 4th and a messy 6th inning led to the game being blown open. Jarred remained perfect on the night (5-5) with a single and triple in the 6th inning alone and driving in 3 in the same inning. Dookie Brewster at that point went on to plate 24 runs and taking the game easily.

Game Two:

Wire 2 Wire v. Dingers
W2W making their season debut after a week 1 bye and Phil Lipton quickly scored in the first. Greg Guarino tripled home Bill Shallcross in the 3rd and after a few fielding blunders and timely hits, w2w plated 4 more in the 7th. Greg again getting the rally going with a double and scoring.

Dan Blazek singled home 2 runs in the first inning to cap a 5-run inning and Mike Casbar blasted a 3-run homer in the 4th helping put 6 more runs on the board. Pete Auteri singled home 2 more runs in the 5th inning to bring the run total to 13. This would all they would need as the late w2w rally fell short.

Game Three:

King’s Corner v. Team Horsham
TH looked to rebound from their week 1 loss and Vince Poore somehow drove in 2 runs while grounding out 4-3 on the put out. (SMH) – Luke Gielhaus drove in 2 more runs in the 2nd inning with a single, Kevin Smith & Matt Galasso both drove in runs in the 3rd while Eric Lane highlighted a 5 run 5th with a solo home run. Horsham tallied 12 for the game.

Kings Corner didn’t get going until the 3rd when Chris Abato tripled to lead off the inning and John Erb doubled home 2, in a 5-run effort. Chris Knechel and CJ Snyder both scored in the 6th and while Keith Crowell drove in 2 with his single in the 7th…the team managed 4 runs in the frame but still fell short by a lone run. Horsham crew barely escaped this one, 12-11.

Game Four:

Philly Junk v. Beers
The Philly infield had themselves a rough day committing 4 documented errors. Beers did have some timely hits in the game to drive their offense. Scott Runzel rbi single in the 1st, Justin Bathurst rbi double in the 2nd, Ryan Calabro & Connor MacFarlane with rbi singles in the 4th and Rich Acierna with a 2-run bomb in the 6th. Beers scored 16 times.

Philly generated no run-producing offense through the first 3 innings. They managed just 4 hits heading into the 4th. In the 4th, Shane Hanna got to work with his first of two home runs, both 2-run shots. KC Ingram added a blast of his own in the 6th with a 3-run shot and Mike Bitterlich added a 3-run shot in the 7th. Heading into the 6th, Philly had only scored 2 runs. They exploded for 9 in the final two innings, but still fell short by 5. Maybe one less error or one additional inning of offense could have done it, but not in this one. Beers took the game, 16-11.
