Game One: Beers v. Vertex

Opening game of the night was an absolute slugfest. Beers’ Ryan Maley had 3 hits which included 2 double, 2 triples and 4 ribbies, Connor MacFarlane had a 5-5 day which included 4 runs scored and 7 ribbies, and Ryan Calabro batting out of the 10 spot had himself a 3-5 game which included 2 home runs & 6rbi. In the bottom of the 6th inning Beers had themselves a lead.
Vertex offensively were equally as good. Mat Crowell was 3-3 with a triple, 3 runs scored and 4 rbi and Matt Schaub was 3-3 with 3 rbi. Vertext took more of a balanced approach offensively as every hitter in their 14 man line up had at least one hit and a run scored. Going into the final inning trailing 26-23, Chris Knechel led off the inning with a solo blast. Matt Schaub them drew a walk while CJ Snyder singled. Tom Eggitto hit a clutch rbi double setting up the stage for Keit Crowell. Keith smashed the walk-off 2 run double helping Vertex steal this game 27-26.

Game Two: Just Food v. Cale’s Pale Ales

Just Food spread out their offense managing 7 runs on 17 hits. Marc Duncan had a 2-run double in the 2nd inning, Connor OKeefe had a 2-run triple in the 6th inning and Marc Duncan doubled home another in the 7th.
Cales Pale Ales looked to be offensively shut down the majority of the game until the final two frames. Only a Dave Knox 2-run home run in the 3rd inning would be the Ales’ offense until the 6th. In the 6th the entire line up made it on base as they plates 11. Joe Flynn was 2-2 in the inning with 2 singles, 2 runs scored and an rbi. Cales takes this game late, 11-7.

Game Three: Porsche v. Toto/Kiefer

Bob Aregos (Porsche) had himself a game going 3-3 with a single, double, home run and Sac Fly; he scored 3 times and drove in 5. Mike Koezler & Kris Carr both singled home 2 runs in their 7-run 2nd inning helping Porsche plate 17 for the game.
Toto/Kiefer attempted to keep up. Home Runs by Anthony Crawford (5th inning), Brian Penecale (5th inning), Jon Poore (3rd inning) and John Erb (4th inning) helped plate 13 for the game. But it would not be enough and lose the game by 4.

Game Four: Mikes Bar and Grill v. Slurricanes

Mike’s Sean Pena and Andy Markowitzx both scored 2 times as did Brian Hughes. Many of the Mike base runners reached via error or walk, but they did manage to push 10 runs across.
But this game was all Slurricanes. Mike Bowler drove in 6 runs, Kyle Achenbach drove in 3 more, Austin Sero drove in 3 and Scott McGonigle drove in 2 more. Slurricanes went on to plate 25 for the game and win this one easily.
