Game One: Porsche v. Mikes
Mike’s Bar & Grill continued their offensive woes with a 3-run performance. Craig Henderson, Tony Stewart & Pat Shaw scored the 3 runs.
Porsche needed just the 1st and 5th innings to win this game. They scored 9 in the 1st and 8 in the 5th…just 1 run rest of game. Bob Argaros was 2-2 with 2 doubles, 2 SF and 4 ribbies. Eric Beatty was 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 rbi.
Game Two: Cales Pales Ales v. Just Food
Five errors by Just Foods in the first 2 innings helped Cales plate 12 runs. Only 1 extra base hit by Kevin Raymond (double) in the first inning was more than a few singles and walks, but still led to 12 runs.
For Just Foods, Rob Demko and Connor O’Keefe both doubled home two runs as JF plates 7. Not enough in this game and lose 12-7.
Game Three: Vertex v. Slurricanes
This game was a total beatdown by Vertex. Slurricanes managed just 5 hits in the game and only threatened once in the 2nd when the bases were loaded. But the Vertex defense hung up a donut in the run column.
Vertex however, different story. CJ Snnyder singled home 2, Keith Crowell singled home 2 more, Chris Beatty tripled home a run, Tom Rydeer doubled 1 in as would Frank Staber and Nick Maile en route to a 10-run first inning. Vertex took this game easily 21-0.
Game Four: Irish Car Bombs v. Beers
Once again, another blow out. Ryan Maley went 3-4 with 2 singles and a double. He scored twice. AJ was 2-3 with a sngle and triple while scoring once and driving in a arun. Beers went on to score 7 for the game, but their defense gave up so much more.
As the theme has been on this night, winning teams needed just one inning to decide the game. For the Irish, that inning would be the 1st. Dave Ulmer and Mike Koz both doubled home 2 runs and Jay Cybok capped the inning with a 2-run single. ICB scored 9 in the first alone. John Poore went on to triple home 2 runs in the 2nd inning and then smash a 2-run shot in the 6th. Jon finished with 5 ribbies. Irish destroy Beers 23-7.
